Mental health. Stress. Anxiety. The pressure of everything that comes with this journey.
This kid has been through the lot. 💚
And that’s why people like Stuart Hill are such an important part of what we’re doing.
Stu is a professional coach who dedicates his time to helping Thomas, asking for absolutely nothing in return other than seeing Thomas doing well and watching the Words Do Hurt campaign continue to grow.
We were all completely blown away when he turned up at Silverstone with his van in a FULL Words Do Hurt livery. 💚🖤
What a gesture.
Some people probably don’t realise just how much weight Thomas carries on those young shoulders.
We never put pressure on him to win trophies 🏆, set fastest laps or pull off insane overtakes.
For us, simply seeing him on that grid is a win.
Because Thomas knows what those names on his race car represent. They are real people and real families who have trusted us with their stories. He knows that every time he goes racing, he’s carrying their message with him:
You are not alone.
Getting to the last round was also a huge financial struggle, and that brought stress Thomas simply didn’t need.
That’s where Stu comes in.
He sits with Thomas and talks. Not just about racing, but about whatever Thomas needs to talk about.
After Race 1 at Silverstone, Thomas opened up to Stu and admitted that mentally he had struggled and explained some of the concerns he’d been carrying.
That conversation mattered.
Because shortly afterwards, Thomas went back out there…
…and at one point set the fastest lap of the race. 💚🏁
We value Stu as a key part of this journey and we’re incredibly grateful for everything he does for Thomas and Words Do Hurt.
And we have some more brilliant news…
WE’VE MADE THE BUDGET FOR THE NEXT ROUND! 🙌💚
Thomas WILL be at Oulton Park on 17th October, and we’d love everyone local to come along and support him.
For this one, we have to thank every single person and company who supported the banner, along with our now-famous “Mr Anonymous”.
His support genuinely brought us to tears.
It means Thomas gets another chance to put that car on the grid and carry those names with him.
There is still work to do. The car has picked up quite a bit of damage that needs repairing, the suspension may need servicing and there are other costs to deal with hopefully the engine won’t need a refresh too! 🤞😂
So we’re still inviting companies who would like to get involved and join us for the final round of 2026.
And we’re almost ready to start some very exciting conversations about 2027… 👀
But for now:
Silverstone ✅
Oulton Park — WE’RE COMING. 💚🏁
Never let anyone ruin your dreams.
