We had a blast yesterday up in Edinburgh playing one of our closest neighbours Newcastle Roller Derby UK Whippin' Hinnies! Our second game of this 5 Nations season.

We may not have walked away with the win, but judging by these photos we definitely had fun!

Stix guided us through 5 Nations as our Bench last year, this season we are lucky enough to have her on track with us!

Today we are remembering Suzie on her birthday.

Suzie, better known as #1408 You Better Rum, truly loved roller derby! Whether she was on track playing in 5 Nations games, off track cheering everyone on, or even coaching the newest generation of skaters at , her love for this sport was clear to see.

Last year we joined forces with Newcastle Juniors to put on the first ever YOU BETTER RUM-ble Cup in memory of our #1408, and what a day it was! It brought together Suzie's friends, family, teammates and skaters she had mentored. We were all there to play derby, have fun, and most importantly remember Suzie!

We wish you were here to skate with us Suzie.
