Weekly Reflections ✨
A few things I've learned from my clients and my own health & fitness journey this week...
🚶♀️ Walking is still undefeated.
For fitness, for your headspace, for getting your steps in while avoiding doing the washing up. "It's raining though" We live in Scotland! Get a pair of waterproof trousers and get out there.
🌴 Holidays happen. Bloody enjoy them.
Make the memories. Eat the food. Order the dessert. Get straight back to "normal" when you are home. Your progress won't disappear. The memories will last much longer than the guilt.
🦵 Single-leg exercises suck (but we still love them)
You can have a bar loaded up with weights and feel like an absolute machine... then be asked to sit down and stand up on one leg and suddenly you're fighting for your life. Humbling doesn't even cover it.
💪 Women supporting women is genuinely magic.
When women back each other, encourage each other and celebrate each other's wins, powerful things happen. No competition, just good humans helping good humans.
🏋️♀️ Not every training session deserves a highlight reel.
Some sessions feel amazing. Some feel like you're moving through wet cement. That's life. One average workout doesn't undo all your hard work. You showed up, you did the thing, and that's what matters.
The biggest lesson this week?
Progress isn't made during the perfect weeks. It's made during the weeks where life happens, holidays happen, motivation disappears for a bit, your balance deserts you during single-leg exercises, and you keep showing up anyway.
