Nordic walking is an enhanced, full-body fitness walking technique that utilizes specially designed poles to engage the upper body, core, and legs simultaneously.
Originating cross country ski training , this low-impact, year-round exercise burns 20–40% more calories than regular walking while reducing joint strain.
Nordic Walking utilizes 90% of your muscles, specifically targeting the arms, back, chest, and shoulders and core
Specialized Poles: It uses specific Nordic walking poles, often featuring specialized glove-like straps (not to be confused with trekking poles) that facilitate a "push and release" technique.
Health Benefits: It is a low-impact activity that reduces strain on hips and knees while increasing cardiovascular efficiency.
Higher Intensity: By pushing off with the poles, users can walk faster and increase their heart rate by up to 13% more than regular walking.
