🌅⛳ What a way to start the day, with the course looking fantastic in the early morning light. While most of us are still thinking about that first cup of coffee, the sprinklers are already hard at work getting the greens ready for another great day of golf

⛳ Golf is booming!

More than 1 in 4 adults in England – 12.6 million people – played some form of golf in the last year! 🙌

And 7.3 million adults played on a full-length 9 or 18-hole course, enjoying everything the traditional game has to offer, with key motivations being time outdoors, exercise, friendly competition and the chance to spend time with friends and family. ⛳

Want to be one of them? Come and join us! Whether you’re completely new to golf, returning to the game or looking for somewhere to play more regularly, we’d love to welcome you.

Are we being a little optimistic… or are we finally getting that Indian summer everyone talks about at this time every year? ☀️⛳

Here’s hoping for plenty more blue skies, warm afternoons and time on the course before autumn really arrives! 🤞

Who’s making the most of it and getting a round in?

⛳️ What a fantastic Women’s Golf Taster Session! 💕🏌️‍♀️

We had such a fun morning welcoming a brilliant group of ladies to Eastbourne Downs for our Women’s Golf Taster Session!

There were plenty of smiles and laughs along the way, and it was wonderful to see everyone’s confidence grow as the session went on. From learning the basics to having a go for themselves, everyone really got stuck in and embraced the experience.

And the best bit? They’re all coming back! 🙌 The group will be meeting again next week on the practice ground to put their new skills into practice, build on what they’ve learnt and, most importantly, keep enjoying their golf together.

A huge thank you to , for making the session so relaxed, welcoming and enjoyable. 👏⛳️

🏌️‍♂️ LUKE’S 72-HOLE CHALLENGE IS UNDERWAY! 💙💗

Luke set off this morning on his incredible 72-hole golf challenge at Eastbourne Downs Golf Course, all in memory of his wonderful Mum, Val, and to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK.

And he is absolutely flying round the course! 🚀 He’s already made it through the 10th hole – only another 62 to go! 😅⛳

There’s still plenty of time to get behind Luke and support Tee Time For Mum. You can make a donation, buy a raffle ticket or place a bid in the auction – every bit of support will help spur Luke on today and, most importantly, help fund life-saving cancer research.

72 holes. One day. One reason. His Mum. ❤️

Come on Luke – we’re all behind you! 👏⛳💪

We're very proud of our Eastbourne Downs dew pond and all the nature we spot thriving in there

Six new ponds supporting hundreds of plant and animal species are to be created or restored for nature in the National Park thanks to the Pounds to Ponds initiative run by South Downs Trust.

Over the past three years more than 30 ponds across Sussex and Hampshire have been transformed into havens for wildlife. After one of the hottest summers on record these precious water sources are now needed more than ever in the South Downs National Park.

More than £325K has been invested so far creating or restoring ponds in partnership with pond specialist and wildlife charity Froglife.

The aim is to raise £1m to restore 100 ponds in total. Funding so far has come from public donations and support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Bannister Trust, BMW, Enest Kleinwort Charitable Trust, Portsmouth Water, Froglife and Swire Charitable Trust.
