C Dean & Son are a Rodmell (East Sussex) based Family Business which was established in 1910 by Christopher Dean where his son Frank soon joined him, since then the business has seen another 2 generations which which are:
Roger (Grandson)- rode from a early age where he competed doing Cross country and Show Jumpers
Stephen Dean (great Grandson)- Stephen had ridden all his life where he did Team Ch

As many people would have seen, over the past couple of years I’ve been using a fly spray which I carry on board to make the job easier during the hot weather, having had such raving reviews using it I got chatting to united equine products at hickstead and have decided to start stocking it as a stockist, this way I can sell it to you all for a good price.

Hope your all managing to stay out the heat, I firstly would like to apologise to customers that I’m behind on work at the minute after a week on duty at Hickstead, followed by some time of due to the extreme heat
I will however be caught up by the end of this week but it’s particularly busy so please bear with me.
This was a horse I shod Monday with a nasty case of white line disease, after long discussions with the vet and going through x rays we decided that’s heart bar which is off loading the effected area is the best way to move foward so I racked my head together wondering how I will make such a shoe from scratch and was very happy with the result, although the fire weld could have been a but neater.
It’s always a bit of fun making shoes like this which are very challenging.

Big news where 3 becomes 4
Grace Louise Dean was born yesterday morning at 9am weighing 8.2lb
I’ll be having a week off to be with the family and then the following week I’ll be doing local half days
I’ll keep everyone posted as to when I’ll be able to get to you, if you have any emergencies I do have some people covering for me so please get in touch
