The clubhouse is filling up already, society in for the day, and the course is looking the part. This is what a proper Thursday morning here looks like 👌

The two-ball and buggy bundle is still running through Monday to Thursday.

£115 before 9am or £90 between 2pm and 6pm, buggy thrown in either way. Early start to be done before lunch, or an afternoon round that takes you into the long summer evening ☀️

Credit where it's due 👏 The grounds team have been at it since the early starts, and the course is the proof.

Greens cut, rolled, watered. Fairways striped. Bunkers raked, edges clean. It looks the way it does in June because someone's been making sure it does, often before the rest of us are up ⛳

Plans for the day? Script does breakfast from early and lunch through the afternoon 🍴

Bacon and egg roll, full breakfast, or just coffee and a pastry if you're easing into it.

Lunch menu kicks in later with proper sit-down options. Terrace looks over the course, which doesn't hurt ☀️

The terrace is shaded, there's water for the dog, and the coffee's good. Bacon roll if you fancy it. Plenty of space and no need to book, just turn up after the walk and put your feet up for half an hour.

Bring the kids, bring a beginner, bring yourself. The range is for everyone, not just serious practice ⛳

The midweek two-ball with a buggy is still on. £115 for a 6am to 9am tee time, or £90 between 2pm and 6pm. Monday through Thursday only.

Came out for a walk around the course first thing this morning. Quiet, warm, and looking about as good as it does all year ⛳

The greens have got real pace on them now, the fairways are tight and well defined, and the whole place just feels right at this time of year. If you've not been down for a while, you're missing the best of it 👌
