Another big moment for the DHF team this weekend!
Coach Luke and Jes stepped up and took on Hyrox Mixed Doubles at London Olympia⦠and SMASHED IT!
Taking on Hyrox as a pair is a very "fun" challenge. It is not just about your own fitness, it is about working together, managing transitions, and keeping each other moving when it gets tough.
Coach Luke embodies DHF values of courage, commitment & connection. He leads from the front, not just coaching it day to day, but stepping in and doing it himself. Leading by example, and showing exactly what the standard looks like. Inspirational.
Their prep at DHF Exeter was simple and consistent:
* Building real strength for the demanding stations
* Conditioning under fatigue, not just when fresh
* Practising teamwork, pacing, and communication
* Showing up week after week
No shortcuts. Just proper training, done well.
That is what carries you through an event like this.
Luke and Jes are a great example of what happens when you commit to the process and trust it.

This week, two of our own stepped up and delivered.
Paul and Sam took on Hyrox Mixed Doubles at London Olympia and absolutely smashed it.
If you have ever watched or taken part in HYROX, you will know this is no easy feat. It is a brutal mix of strength, engine, and mental resilience. And they showed up for all of it.
What makes it even better?
They did not just turn up and hope for the best. They prepared properly.
At DHF Exeter, their build-up focused on:
Structured strength work to handle the sleds, carries, and stations
Conditioning sessions designed to replicate race fatigue
