📆 Planning Ahead Makes All the Difference
As another busy residential season unfolds, many schools are already beginning to look ahead to 2027.
Early conversations make a real difference. They give schools the best chance of securing preferred dates, choosing the right length of stay, and shaping a programme that supports their pupils properly.
A residential is much more than a few days away. It can support confidence, resilience, independence, teamwork, friendships, and positive relationships between students and staff.
By planning early, we can work with schools to design an experience that fits their year group, pastoral aims, curriculum links, budget, and wider school priorities.
Whether the focus is transition, personal development, outdoor learning, team building, watersports, adventure, or simply giving pupils a memorable experience away from the classroom, the best programmes are built with time and care.
The best experiences are rarely rushed.
If your school is starting to think about residentials for 2027, we would be very happy to begin the conversation.

🪓 Youth Adventure Days at Redrock Outdoor 🌊🔥
Adventure just got even bigger.
Our Youth Adventure Days are packed with exciting activities designed to challenge, inspire, and get young people fully involved in the outdoors.
This season, we’re putting a special spotlight on two firm favourites:
🪓 Axe Throwing
A chance for young adventurers to release their inner Viking or Spartan warrior in our new axe throwing arena. Safe, supervised, exciting, and brilliant for focus, confidence, and a little friendly competition.
🌿 Survival SOS
One of our biggest hits with schools, Survival SOS throws young people into a hands-on outdoor challenge where they learn shelter building, fire lighting, teamwork, problem-solving, and practical survival skills.
From target skills to survival challenges and foraging, our Youth Adventure Days are all about confidence, imagination, teamwork, and proper outdoor fun.
Perfect for young people who love adventure, challenge, and getting stuck in.

🧩 Team Challenges That Get Everyone Thinking
Not every challenge at Redrock is about speed or strength.
Some require something even more important… teamwork.
Activities like Swamp Crossing, the Water Transportation Challenge, and Gutter Ball ask students to communicate, plan and problem-solve together. Sometimes the first attempt fails… but that’s where the real learning happens.
With a little creativity and a lot of encouragement, groups quickly discover that the best solutions come when everyone works together.
And when they finally crack the challenge… the celebration is usually pretty loud!
🌍 Bigger Adventures. Stronger Friendships. Unforgettable Memories.
At Redrock Outdoor, adventure doesn’t stop with our school programmes… it’s only the beginning.
Our growing Redrock Experience Camps and Aloha Camps are designed for young people who want MORE from their holidays. More adventure, more freedom, more laughter, more challenge, and more moments that stay with them long after summer ends.
Over multiple action-packed days, the kids throw themselves into exciting watersports, land challenges, team games, evening activities, and outdoor experiences that build confidence, resilience, and independence in a way screens simply can’t compete with.
But the real magic? ✨
It’s the friendships formed around campfires, the shared victories after completing a challenge, the late-evening laughter in camping villages, and the confidence that quietly grows with every new experience.
For many young people, these camps become the highlight of their year… and once they’ve been once, they usually can’t wait to come back.
Whether they’re paddling across the water, tackling team challenges, learning new skills, or simply enjoying life outdoors with new friends, every day brings a new adventure.
⚡ Spaces are limited and our camps continue to grow in popularity each year.
Book early and come be part of the adventure.
🌊 Confidence Starts Outside the Classroom
Some of the most valuable lessons students learn don’t happen at a desk.
Out on the water, students quickly discover that balance, focus, and teamwork all matter. Whether it’s standing up on a paddleboard for the first time or working together to guide a kayak across the estuary or through the waves at Orcombe Point, every small success builds confidence.
With patient instruction and a safe, sheltered environment, students are free to challenge themselves, try something new, and realise they are capable of more than they thought.
And often… that confidence follows them long after they leave the shoreline.

🚣 Learning to Move With the Water
For many students, the watersports sessions quickly become the highlight of their residential experience. There’s something unforgettable about stepping onto the water for the first time, paddle in hand, and discovering what you’re capable of.
Whether it’s paddleboarding or kayaking, students learn far more than just how to stay upright. They develop balance, awareness, teamwork, and calm decision-making, all while enjoying the incredible surroundings of the Exmouth coastline.
Our instructors guide each group step-by-step in a safe and supportive environment, helping every student progress at their own pace. Some find their confidence straight away, while others build it gradually, but the sense of achievement when it all clicks is something special.
By the end of the session, students aren’t just moving across the water… they’re learning how to work together, overcome challenges, and believe in their own abilities.
And often, the confidence they gain out there on the water carries far beyond the shoreline.
🌊 Adventure.
🌊 Confidence.
🌊 Memories that last long after the trip ends.
