I have finally recovered from an amazing weekend!
Here is a rundown of the winners from each event. Once again, this was a very well-attended tournament that ran smoothly throughout the weekend. On the whole, player conduct was outstanding, and there were so many bright spots across all events. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who participated and accommodated my terrible pronunciation over the microphone!
Firstly, congratulations to the finalists and winners from Saturday's events:
🏆 Men's Bronze Singles
🥇 Muhammad Mustafa Zaib
🥈 Samuel Street [3]
🏆 Women's Bronze Singles
🥇 Alex Chan-Taylor
🥈 Malavika Shivakumar
🏆 Men's Copper Singles
🥇 Tharun Siddharth Shyam
🥈 Ali Tanveer
🏆 Bronze Mixed Doubles
🥇 Rajdeep Reddy Katamreddy [4] & Malavika Shivakumar
🥈 Naithan McNeil [3] & Rebecca Bissett
It was a truly amazing day of badminton. We came incredibly close to breaking the match-play record from our very first Bonanza event, narrowly missing out by just 12 games!
Sunday doubles day.
We increased the scoring format to 3 x 21, although it would have helped if I had remembered I'd also included quarter-finals when planning around the old 3 x 15 format! Safe to say it was a value-for-money day for the players.
Once again, the standard of play was fantastic, and it was a pleasure to watch so many great matches unfold.
Congratulations to the finalists and winners of Sunday's events:
🏆 Men's Bronze Doubles
🥇 Bishan Gurung & Angus Macleod
🥈 Ian King [3] & Joshua Lowe
🏆 Men's Copper Doubles
🥇 Muhammad Ahsan Amjad & Tharun Siddharth Shyam
🥈 Vivek Arora & Ziad Karamat
🏆 Women's Bronze Doubles
🥇 Rebecca Dobbin [1] & Fiona Simpson
🥈 Rebecca Bissett [2] & Carla-Louise Mackenzie
We absolutely love running these events and are already looking forward to seeing this season's Copper winners and finalists stepping up into our Bronze tournaments next season.
Going forward, all our tournaments will be run in the popular Bonanza format. We also have something very special coming up in September, the first ever Scottish Triple in Ayrshire, where players from across all levels will get the chance to battle it out over an incredible weekend of badminton.

WOW… 117 entries for our 2nd West Coast Ayrshire Bonanza!
Thank you to every single person who has entered and supported the event. We are pretty sure this is the first full Copper event in Scotland, which makes it even more exciting to see the numbers we have had.
The boys absolutely smashed the singles event, although unfortunately we didn’t manage to get any ladies entered for the singles or doubles this time around. As this is our first event including Copper singles, we know these things can take time to build and grow.
What we DO know is that next weekend is going to be packed, busy, competitive, and most importantly… FUN!
I’m already quite sure I’m going to be absolutely exhausted by the end of it… and I’m only watching!!! 😂
Thank you again everyone , we genuinely appreciate the support for what we are building with the West Coast Circuit. 💙🏸

Calling all Players over 30!
Now you are "Masters" there is tournaments just for you and your sore joints...
This June, we’re doing something a bit different!
We’ve been running graded tournaments since 2019, and now we’re excited to launch Ayrshire’s first Combined Age Masters.
Masters, but with a twist!
Instead of traditional age groups where you have to “play down” to partner with someone younger, doubles entries will be based on your combined ages.
Simply add your ages together and enter the correct combined age group.
Singles will still be played in your own age group.
Planned format:
Saturday: Singles & Mixed Doubles
Sunday: Level Doubles
We’ve also opened entries to players aged 30+… because Ryan is nearly that old!
As always, we’ll have our highly regarded chilli and vegetarian curry available.
Any questions, please ask, and come join us for something new this June!

Looking back… and building forward.
From our first Bronze in Ayrshire (2019), to our first Silver in 2025, and now…
Our first full Bonanza weekend in Ayrshire. (even though its called the 2nd!)
It’s been a journey, and what a way to round off the graded season.
We first dipped our toe with a full Silver + Copper doubles… and now we’re going all in with a Copper & Bronze Bonanza.
We’re genuinely excited about this one, so much so that we’ve already built more of these into next season’s schedule.
But here’s the question
What do YOU want to see more of?
👉 More Copper & Bronze events
👉 Or more Copper & Silver events
We felt there were already plenty of Bronze/Silver opportunities out there… so we’ve focused on creating the first Copper focused Bonanza's.
This our 2nd West Coast Ayrshire Bonanza, id going to be amazing.
Drop a comment and let us know
Let’s shape next season together.

🚨Ambassador Round up 👆🏼
At the weekend some of our squad took a trip to the Isle of Skye for the Skye Championships.
It was a fantastic weekend of competition and laughter and another weekend of team growth. Things kicked off with the singles on the Friday night where our first Team showdown came in the Plate semi-final where Naithan and Ryan faced off. Naithan came away with the W in that game and went on to continue to win in the final. Orla also managed to take the win in the plate event of the Ladies singles.
Saturday was another successful day in the level and mixed doubles. Both Ryan and Naithan (2) & Andrew and Craig (3) won their respective groups without dropping a set, both pairs went on to battle through their quarterfinal matches to meet in the Semi-finals for another team showdown. In a close match up the 2nd seeds took the win 21-19 | 21-18.
The Ladies continued the fine form. Orla and Isla(2) won their group with Carla and Rebecca(1) & Debbie and Ellie both finishing second in their games. This saw multiple showdowns amongst the ladies in some highly entertaining games especially with 1st seed meeting 2nd in the semi finals!! In a battle that went all the way to three sets, Carla and Rebecca managed to see off their counterparts to progress and meet some familiar faces in the final.
After previously losing to Lynette and Rachael in the group, Carla and Rebecca wasted no time on bringing out their best form and taking the ladies title in convincing fashion 21-15 | 21-14.
In the Mixed - Ryan and Orla bowed out at the semi final stage after a tough match up against the 1st seeds.
Craig and Carla(4) met Naithan and Rebecca(1/2) in the other semi final game which Naithan and Rebecca managed to win to book their place in the final. Unfortunately it wasn't to be for the two however still managed a silver medal.
As for Debs and Andrew despite managing to play a first round against the top seeds there was no plate competition for the pair after having to withdraw through injury.
Overall another successful weekend for the gang which finished with a massive team chinese takeaway! ✌🏼
