Hyndland Bowling Club Hyndland Bowling Club was founded in 1904 by Mr Hugh M Mackie, CA. The first Opening Day was on 5th May 1905.

He had recently come to the district, and missed the bowling facilities of his native Stewarton. The open space in Queensborough Gardens appeared an admirable site for a bowling green. Soon the proprietors of the ground, Messrs Duncanson and Henderson, were approached, and by December 1904, the club-house was ready. Join Our Try Bowls Session: Start Your Journey 🦌

Are you looking to discover a new sport that combines skill, focus, and a welcoming community? We invite you to join our Try Bowls Session and experience everything our club has to offer.

Supporting the official Bowls Scotland initiative in the lead up to this years Commonwealth Games, we are opening our doors to anyone interested in learning the basics of lawn bowls. Whether you’re looking to get active in the fresh air or keen to meet new people in a relaxed environment, we’d love to see you there.

Event Details

When: Monday, 4th May
Time: Drop in anytime between 1:00PM – 5:00PM

What to Expect

Club Tour: Take a look around our facilities and get a feel for our club’s friendly atmosphere.

Introductory Session: Our members will be on hand to show you the basics and help you get started on the green.

What to Bring: All you need is a pair of flat-soled shoes. We will provide all the necessary equipment for you to have a go.

There is no pressure and no need to book—simply join us at any point during the afternoon to see if bowls is the right sport for you.

Congratulations to Hyndland Bowling Club for winning tonight’s Killermont Trophy for the second season running. Thanks to everyone at Killermont for the running of the competition, to all the clubs who took part and hosted.

Special mention to the highest up rink from Albion - Davie McLusky, Davie Dunsmore, Dougie Cochrane, Tam Mackie (Sk).

On behalf of President Grahame Hogg, we welcome all members and invited guests to this seasons opening day. We hope to see everyone out for the first bowls of the season.
