Pollok parkrun, Glasgow Free, weekly, 5km timed run in the beautiful surroundings of Glasgow's Pollok Country park.
Register before your first run at http://www.parkrun.org.uk, bring a printed copy of your barcode, and run with us at 9.30am. We're a welcoming and sociable timed run, we welcome and encourage runners of all abilities to take part. If Pollok's too far, or you fancy a change, there are three other events to choose from in Glasgow, and many more throughout Scotland, the UK and the world.

Are you aged 80+ or know someone who runs/walks/volunteers at parkrun? All 80+ year olds and their friends and families are invited to Perth parkrun on 13th June to run/walk/volunteer and celebrate our more mature parkrunners. Photos will be taken of course. Are you a volunteer?
Do you want to be famous?
Volunteering Week is coming up (1–7 June), and this year’s theme is “Volunteering looks like you.” Anyone can be a volunteer, and volunteers can be anyone!
To celebrate the diversity of our amazing volunteer community (and encourage even more people from different backgrounds to get involved), we’re putting together a video featuring short clips of people saying:
“I am a [your occupation] and a volunteer”For example:
I am a student and a volunteer
I am an engineer and a volunteer
I am a driver and a volunteer
I am a father and a volunteer
We’d love this to be as diverse as possible, so it would be fantastic if you could record a clip and spread the message to your friends and family!
A few quick guidelines:
Film vertically
Ideally film at a parkrun location or outside, with your vest
Make sure it’s high resolution with clear audio

Congratulations to Mia McSharry and friends from St Luke's school who ran Pollok parkrun this morning as part of a fundraiser for SIMBA (as part of the school YPI project). Well done to you all. Fabulous effort!
