Match day recap

The Tungsten Inn Leagues Grimsby saw an exciting round of matches today, with several players making significant moves in the standings. In Friday Division 2, Michael Dent and Jason Blackburn maintained their positions at the top, while in Friday Division 1, Andrew Hammond climbed to second place with impressive victories.

In Friday Division 2, Michael Dent continued his dominant form with a 4-1 win over David Kellitt and a 4-0 victory against Elliott Genney, keeping him at the top of the standings with 45 points. Jason Blackburn also held his ground in second place, securing a 4-1 win against Shannon Butler and a 4-1 victory over Steve Davis, matching Dent's points total. Liam Bucknell moved up to third place, overtaking Lenny Svendsen, after a commanding 4-0 win against George Dean and a 4-1 triumph over Dane Collins. Svendsen dropped to fourth despite a strong 4-0 win against George Dean, as he couldn't match Bucknell's performance. Timmy Bruce remained in fifth place, splitting his matches with a 4-1 win over Shannon Butler and a 4-2 loss to Peter Selby. Jay Uysal climbed two spots to sixth after defeating Dane Collins 4-2 and Tony Newbegin 4-2. Meanwhile, Ryan Lowe also made a notable move, rising to ninth place with wins against Tony Newbegin and Dane Collins.

In Friday Division 1, Andrew Hammond had a stellar day, moving up two positions to second place after defeating Oliver Allison 4-0 and Owen Baines 4-0, bringing his points total to 29. Stuart Pritchard was another big mover, climbing three places to third with a 4-0 victory over Tommy Bruce, a 3-3 draw with Harland Newbegin, and a 4-0 win against Tim Day, now sitting on 27 points. Seth Vickers dropped to fourth despite a 4-2 win over Matteo Dean, as he later lost 4-2 to the surging Hammond. Josh Gale remained steady in fifth place, securing wins against Lewis Holland and Harland Newbegin. Owen Baines fell to sixth after a challenging day, losing to both Andrew Hammond and Tim Day. Tim Day held his position in seventh, with a solid win over Owen Baines and a loss to Stuart Pritchard. Bailey Hughes moved up to eighth after a 3-3 draw with Alex Gale and a 4-0 win against Harland Newbegin. Harland Newbegin dropped one place to ninth, unable to secure a win in his matches today.
