Breath is everything.
It affects your health, blood pressure, digestion, mobility, stability, relaxation, strength and power.
Yet most people do not know how to breathe properly (upper thoracic/chest breathing) in normal life let alone how to breathe when lifting!
Don’t underestimate the importance of breathing and bracing under load. Creating intra-abdominal pressure helps protect your spine and gives you a solid foundation for safe, strong lifting.
Get it wrong and you can be vulnerable to injury and not lifting as optimally strong as you could be!
Get it right and it’s a game changer.
Join me at the StrongFirst Foundations Workshop 11 September and learn the skills that make every lift stronger, safer and more efficient.
Breath, brace, plank, deadlift, swing, push up!

Look better because you got stronger. 💪
Because you built a body that can actually do things, lift your suitcase into the overhead locker, lay paving slabs, yes I did it! 🫡
Strong legs, grip, lats, glutes and abs!
Healthy, resilient joints, here is to still squatting in your 60’s & beyond, running up the stairs not having the take the lift or the escalators.
A body that keeps going when life gets heavy.
You trained with intent and purpose.
You put in the work, you turned up when even when you didn’t feel like it!
There are no shortcuts and those that do try the short cuts, the results do not last and they often pay a harsh price on their health.
And here’s the thing…building a resilient and capable body, that kind of strength shows, in confidence, in posture, you carry yourself differently, poor posture is aging!
Strong is definitely the new aesthetic.
Age strong. Look strong. Be strong.
