Original Strength is built on a simple but powerful idea: the human body is designed to move well. When that ability is lost, the solution is not to add more complexity, but to restore the foundations.
Through the RESETs, you will learn how to:
Improve movement quality
Enhance stability and control
Build a stronger foundation for strength and performance
You will be able to apply these principles to yourself and to your clients, regardless of age, fitness level, or condition, provided they are cleared for physical activity.
This certification can change the way you see movement and the way you coach every day.
Register early to secure the lowest available price. Spots are limited and the price increases as the event approaches.

Don’t confuse weight loss with fat loss.

The scales only tell part of the story.

You can lose body fat, build muscle, change your shape and get stronger — without seeing a dramatic change in bodyweight.

And being lighter doesn’t automatically mean being healthier.

The problem with constantly chasing a lower number on the scales is that it can lead to:

☠️eating less and less
☠️doing more and more cardio
☠️low energy
☠️poor training
☠️loss of muscle
☠️eventually thinking, sod this, and giving up altogether.

Your body adapts. We are very good at adaptation and down regulating the metabolic system our fat burning furnace!

If you’re already eating very little and doing an hour of cardio every day, what happens when progress stalls?

Eat even less?
Add another cardio session?
Keep pushing until it becomes completely unsustainable?

Sometimes what we actually need is a re-feed and this doesn’t not mean eating junk! It means gradually increasing the calories over several weeks……honestly, trust me, it works!

There’s a better approach.

Get the basics right first.

🥩 Eat enough protein.
🥗 Base most of your diet around nutrient-dense, minimally processed food.
🏋️ Resistance train and build muscle.
🚶 Move regularly.
😴 Prioritise recovery and sleep.
📏 Track more than just bodyweight.

Look at your strength, measurements, clothes, energy, health, fitness and body composition.

Muscle matters — especially as we get older.

The goal shouldn’t simply be to weigh less.

The goal is to become stronger, healthier, leaner and more capable.

You are never too old to start getting stronger.

I’ve just come off a coaching video call with a lady in her late 70s who is now doing step-ups holding 12kg, after previously being unable to get out of a chair without assistance.

That’s exactly why I thought the message below needed saying again.

It is never too late to start. Stop putting off…….

Even at 90, it’s possible to get stronger and build muscle with the right training.

Think it’s too late to start strength training? Think again.

A study involving adults aged 90 and over found that just 12 weeks of targeted exercise produced significant improvements in strength, power and muscle mass.

Participants also showed improvements in:

* Walking speed
* Getting up from a chair
* Balance
* Lower-body strength and power
* Risk of falls

The improvements were particularly noticeable in the lower limbs, where both muscle mass and muscle power increased.

The research, led by Professor Mikel Izquierdo-Redín of the Public University of Navarre, was published in Age, the journal of the American Aging Association, adding further evidence that our bodies can continue to adapt to strength training well into later life.

This is why strength training matters so much as we age.

It isn’t simply about lifting heavier weights. It’s about maintaining the strength, balance and physical capacity that allow us to move well, stay independent and keep doing the things we want to do.

You are never too old to start.
You are never too old to get stronger.
