Yesterday we played in the local Guildford City Tournament and we got through to quarter finals but kicked out in penalties!!!! How devastating for the flames but the team played the best they have ever played in a tournament - so we go again next year 💪🏻

We also had our presentation night afterwards, where we celebrated our team, recognised the effort from not just the players, but the coaches and everyone who helps out too. From 66 goals to finishing 3rd in the league - we could not be prouder ⚽️

It’s now time to rest, recover and enjoy some downtime before pre-season starts and we aim for the top!! 🔥🔥🔥 Acorn Managed Services Ltd

As our 25/26 season comes to a close, we wanted to share where we finished in the league.

This was our first competitive season which included yellow and red cards (luckily no reds for us!!). We finished 3rd in the league after playing 14 games, winning 9, losing 4 and 1 draw - and we could not be prouder of our team. A fantastic start to competitive football and long may it continue.

Unfortunately following a tournament that was cancelled at Southampton FC’s ground (enough said!!), we only have one tournament we will be participating in next week - Guildford City Tournament on Sunday 7th June ⚽️

Finishing straight after with our Presentation and trophy’s - bring it on and let’s hope the sun stays shining for next weekend

Our last friendly of the season was away to Capel comets and unfortunately it ended up being a 4-0 loss 😭

A match against a team who are second in the league above was a challenge for our flames but the determination and drive was kept at a high all the way through.

One player who shone through was our Goalie Arthur - kept his head high and stopped the game being a staggering loss by saving many - well done to this weeks Player of the Match ⚽️

Our last game before the Easter break was at home against Dorkinians Greens and we stormed into Easter with a staggering 10-1 WIN!!

We had a Hat-trick from Ruben, a Quadruple-Trick (is that even a name?!) from Austin, 2 from George and 1 from Jamie. However, forgetting the goals, we had a game of skill, thinking and teamwork which shone through from start to finish.

To start the Easter off well, this weeks Player of the Match goes to Ruben, a player who keeps going no matter what. Well done!

Last Saturdays game was a friendly being played on our home turf against Elstead Sharks, resulting in a 6-2 WIN!!

Following our huge defeat the week before, the flames were ready for action this week and never gave up. We had fantastic goals from Noah, a hat-trick from Harvey and a further goal from Arun making sure we secured that win!!

This weeks Player of the Match goes to Harvey - fantastic sportsmanship and 3 great goals!

Last Saturdays game was away to Petworth Panthers and we had a staggering 14-0 loss!!

Unfortunately, we had a player down due to injury in the first 5minutes and played a team of 8, the flames fought and fought but just couldn’t get any past the panthers.

We go again this week, we learn, we grow and we come back harder!

This weeks Player of the Match goes to Callum, a player who never stopped battling throughout, well done.

Last week’s game was home against Billingshurst Black’s and what an incredible and rollercoaster game it was with a result of a 4-3 WIN!!

Took a bit of time for everyone to wake up but as soon as they did, the flames were off! Goals here and there including 2 x from Austin and 2 own goal’s too.

This weeks Player of The Match goes to Charlie - our solid defender who did not let the team down at all. Well done!

After weeks and weeks of cancelled games and a half term break, we were finally BACK!! Playing at home against Dorkinians Yellows, resulting in an unfortunate 3-1 loss!

We started off with fire but unfortunately couldn’t hold the heat - Austin had a cracking great goal in the first few minutes of the game but we learn and we go again this week 💪🏻

This weeks Player of the Match goes to George - a consistent winger who never gives up. Well done!

As it has been made clear it has rained every day in January and February isn’t looking any better either - a further cancelled game last week and now it’s half term where there is always a natural break, we just cannot wait to get back at it in a couple of weeks!
