🐏⚽️ THE NJFC FOOTBALL SHIRT MYSTERY BOX IS HERE! 👕📦

Something a little different for Northowram Juniors… and this one comes with a story.

We’ve teamed up with Jamie Boyle, who has generously donated 80 brand-new football shirts to help raise funds for the club — and to support a cause very close to his heart.

👕 WHAT DO YOU GET?

For just £20 + postage, you’ll receive a mystery football shirt.

Every shirt:

⚽️ Is brand new with tags and has never been worn
⚽️ Is from the 2024/25 season
⚽️ Comes from a mixture of clubs from the Premier League through to League Two
⚽️ Has NO FEAR 29 printed on the back
⚽️ And, of course… you won’t know which club you’ve got until you open it! 👀

🖤 WHY “NO FEAR 29”?

This is where these shirts become a little more special.

Jamie has lived with diabetes and an incurable blood cancer, but rather than allowing his illness to dictate his life, he decided to take on an incredible challenge, travelling to all 92 football league grounds.

His journey became the No Fear Tour.

The 29 represents the age Jamie was when he became seriously ill and was diagnosed.

Along the way, Jamie travelled around the country, raising awareness for charities and causes close to his heart, including mental health, cancer and community organisations. The challenge was self-funded and fitted around work, hospital appointments and chemotherapy.

As Jamie puts it, the message behind No Fear is simple:

Don’t let an incurable illness hold you back. Live your best life.

And now those shirts are being used to help give something back. ❤️

❤️ WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

The proceeds from this fundraiser will be shared between Northowram Junior Football Club and Jamie.

Jamie will then be donating his share to the teenage cancer ward at St James’, helping provide things and experiences for young patients.

So when you buy a shirt, you’re helping grassroots football AND a cause that means a huge amount to Jamie.

Pretty good reason to treat yourself to a mystery shirt, we’d say. 👏

A huge congratulations to Izzy Farley, our U14 Girls Player of the Month for September! 🏆🧡🖤

Izzy is new to the team this season and has settled in brilliantly, making an immediate impact with her attitude, effort and performances.

⚽️ WHAT A PERFORMANCE FROM THE GIRLS! 💪🔥

Northowram Girls U13s put in their best performance of the season today and, on another day, could easily have beaten Thornes, who are flying high near the top of the league! 👏

Our defence of Sophie in goal, Poppy, Eva and Tilda were absolutely outstanding and more than matched the Thornes attack. 🧤💪

In midfield, Geo, Molly, Karma and Flo linked up brilliantly, while Charlotte worked hard up front. It was a very even first half with few clear chances, but Thornes broke away just a minute before half-time to take a 1-0 lead.

The girls came out fighting in the second half and continued to pile on the pressure. Olivia worked tirelessly up front, while Geo and Molly both went close. Charlotte came agonisingly close too, hitting the post! 😩⚽️

Unfortunately, Thornes picked up a loose ball late on and made it 2-0.

The scoreline definitely doesn't tell the full story. The girls gave everything and showed just how much they are improving. ❤️👏

🌟 Well done girls — our first win isn't far away! Keep believing! 💙⚽️

🐏⚽ U21s | COUNTY FA TROPHY ⚽🐏

Lupset Lions 2–2 Northowram U21s
Lupset win 4–3 on penalties

What a morning of drama, determination and character from our U21s in their first ever County FA Trophy game! 💙

The lads went toe-to-toe with Lupset Lions FC in a fiercely contested tie, twice coming from behind to force the game all the way to penalties.

It was a real test of character from the first whistle, with the team refusing to give up and continuing to battle for every ball and every opportunity.

⚽ Two goals. Two comebacks. One huge team effort.

Unfortunately, the shootout didn’t go our way, with Lupset eventually edging it 4–3 on penalties to progress to the next round.

But there is plenty for this group to be proud of.

For a new U21 side playing their first County FA Trophy game, taking the tie all the way to penalties against a strong opponent shows the fight and resilience within this team. 💪

👏 Huge credit to every player who gave everything this morning, and to the management team for their work behind the scenes.

The result wasn’t what we wanted, but the togetherness, determination and never-say-die attitude were there for everyone to see.

🐏 Keep building, U21s. The journey continues. 💙⚽

Rams 4–1 Shelf 💙🔥

What a performance from the U12 Rams today!

A hard-battling, determined team display against a side who beat us 3–1 last season, making today’s result even sweeter. Every player played their part, showing great character, togetherness and a real willingness to fight for each other from start to finish. 👏

⭐ PLAYER OF THE MATCH — MAX HARDCASTLE

A huge congratulations to Max, who put in a brilliant performance today. Some big tackles, combined with a solid display in both midfield and centre defence, helped set the tone for the team. Absolutely deserved! 💪🛡️

A really solid display from our U8 Colts today against Super Eagles! 💙

The Colts showed some fantastic teamwork and togetherness throughout the game, with today’s side led brilliantly by Captain Jack B. 👏🫡

There were goals aplenty too, with Noah, Arly and Arthur S all getting themselves on the scoresheet. ⚽🔥

🐏⚽ WELL DONE, U8 RAMS! ⚽🐏

After a turbulent few weeks, it was brilliant to see the Rams back to winning ways today with a hard-fought victory over Kirkburton! 💙

The team started on the front foot and never looked back. A fantastic effort from the first whistle right through to the final one, with everyone playing their part. 👏

A fantastic performance from Charlie today. Composed, committed and giving everything for the team. Brilliant work! 👏

And of course, Bentley was back on the scoresheet with that trusty left foot and plenty of pace! But it wasn’t just the goal — he worked tirelessly for the team throughout the entire game. 👏

A really proud day for everyone involved.

After a difficult few weeks, this was exactly the response we wanted. A proper team performance, plenty of hard work and a well-earned win.

🔥 COUNTY FA TROPHY | MATCH DAY 🔥

The U21s are back in action — and this time, it’s a first!

After securing their first ever home win last weekend, the lads head to Lupset Lions FC on Sunday for their first County FA Trophy game! 🏆

There’s plenty of excitement around this young side, and manager Michael Wynn is looking forward to seeing what they can do:

🗣️ “It’s a new team and a new adventure for everyone involved, and we’re really looking forward to it. This will be our first open-age County FA game, so it’s another great experience for the lads and a chance to test ourselves against a different challenge.

We’re coming off the back of our first home win last weekend, so hopefully we can take that confidence into Saturday and put in another performance to be proud of. The lads are excited, we’re building something together and we can’t wait to get going.”

Helen Wilson 💛🖤

“Football Helen” has been part of Northowram Juniors for 17 years, and today she’s one of the people helping keep everything moving behind the scenes.

From events and fundraising to U6 recruitment, Helen certainly has plenty on her plate, hence the title Chief Plate Spinner! 😂

But there’s much more to Helen’s NJFC story than that…

She’s been involved with the club for years, has plenty of stories from her time around football, and has played an important part in the development of our girls’ football.

And yes… we also got some very Helen answers to the quick-fire questions. 😂
