Hello all that follows the Halifax Model Railway Club page, our first open day of 2026 was a success and it was wonderful to see all those who attended. Thank you to all the members (and their families) for their support.

The next open day will be Sunday 17th May 2026, with further information on this in the next few weeks. Cheers, HMRC ltd committee.

Hello to all those who follow our page, only one week till our winter open day, the first of four planned in 2026.

We have recently been informed that there will be some roadworks and construction in the vicinity of the club rooms, starting the Thursday 5th February.

The main road that runs past the club-rooms will be partially closed in one direction and there will be a diversion in place (A629 phase 2 Halifax Town Centre). Calderdale Council has an informative web-page with this, link below, about the overall scheme. Halifax Courier has an article about the scheme, link below.

This will affect journey time for both members and visitors to our Winter Open day. We hope that this doesn't discourage you from visiting.

Week commencing February 1st there we will be open Monday, Thursday Friday and Saturday on preparation for our open day, if possible could anyone come down and help with preparations?
