Today’s mission… the Manon! ✂️🧵💕

I’m in Sew You Can today working on my sample for our Manon Cropped Trench Jacket class on Saturday 24th October and I’ve had a proper rummage through my fabric stash!

I’ve dug out all these gorgeous Scottish wools I’ve collected on my travels in and around Dornoch over the years… and rather than choosing just ONE, I’m thinking mish mash! 😍

Different wools for the pockets, storm flap, epaulettes and maybe even the collar — really making all those beautiful Manon details stand out. I think this could be an absolute cracker! 👌🏼

And this is exactly what I love about dressmaking — same pattern, completely different jacket depending on the fabric and little details you choose.

Our Manon Cropped Trench Jacket workshop is Saturday 24th October, 10am–5pm. We’ll work through all those lovely jacket-making techniques together, and you’ll go home with a fabulous handmade jacket that looks properly impressive! 🧥✂️

Our 4-week Beginners Sewing Course starts Thursday 8th October at Sew You Can 💕

This course is perfect if you’re a complete beginner, haven’t sewn since school, or have a sewing machine sitting at home that you’re slightly scared of. 😂

Over the 4 weeks we’ll take you right from the basics and build your confidence while making some gorgeous projects along the way.

If you’ve booked onto our Manon Crop Trench Jacket workshop, I’m including a FREE session at our Wednesday evening Dressmaking Club before the class.

Come along with your fabric and we’ll get everything cut out and ready to sew ✂️
