🏆 HISTORY MADE AT HAMILTON SQUASH & RACKETBALL CLUB! 🏆

That’s a wrap on the season — and what a season it has been!
Hamilton Squash & Racketball Club has made history.

For the first time ever, the club has lifted the crown… or more fittingly, the sword ⚔️ — by winning the league title!

But the celebrations didn’t stop there…

🔥 DOUBLE SUCCESS FOR HAMILTON! 🔥

Our 2nd Team sealed the deal in style with a fantastic performance away at Glasgow University. After a slightly nervous start, the team found their rhythm and powered through to an incredible 17 out of 18 points, securing the league title.

A huge achievement for the players, the club, and everyone who has supported Hamilton Squash throughout the season. The hard work, dedication, and team spirit have truly paid off! 💪🏸

With all three teams playing at home, it was always going to be a busy and important Wednesday night — and it did not disappoint! 🏸👏

💪 1st Team vs Giffnock
Despite it being Darcy’s birthday, Giffnock clearly forgot to bring any presents… 🎂😄
Some really tough battles across the board, with the match going on forever, but the team stayed strong and powered through to an emphatic 18–4 win.
Another big result that strengthens the lead at the top of the table — excellent stuff from the 1sts! 🔥

🔥 2nd Team vs Strathclyde Uni
This one had everything. A top-of-the-table clash where both teams knew just how much was on the line.
That pressure showed in two grueling 5-setters that pushed everyone to the limit. Hamilton dug deep, won 4 matches, and secured a huge 16–8 victory.
The reward? Top of the league by 7 points with 4 rounds still to play — nothing decided yet, but momentum is firmly with the team! 💥

🚀 3rd Team vs David Lloyd Renfrew
The 3rds came out firing on all cylinders — well… almost all 😅 (we’ll quietly gloss over the #1).
Luckily, the rest of the squad was absolutely on fire, producing strong performances across the board and sealing a deserved 15–8 win.
Best of all, that result means the team is now officially safe from relegation — mission accomplished! 🙌

👉 Overall: fantastic squash, great sportsmanship, and brilliant support from our visiting teams — exactly what club nights should be about.

☀️ The days are getting longer, the sun is making an appearance… and Hamilton Squash is thriving! 🏸🔥

It’s been another fantastic week on court, with all three teams delivering big performances and soaking up the great vibes around the club.

💪 1st Team vs Western
A very strong showing from the 1sts, matching their earlier result against Western with another 17-point haul. While the individual matches played out differently this time, the overall outcome was just as impressive. A big step forward as the team looks to hold onto top spot in the league.

🔥 2nd Team vs SSRC (Home)
An absolute belter of a night at Hamilton! Long, hard-fought matches across the board and a brilliant atmosphere throughout the club.
The team turned around the away defeat (6–13) in style, delivering a 16–8 home win. Spirits were high, the squash was fair and competitive, and everyone walked away buzzing after a cracking contest.

🚀 3rd Team @ Newlands
After losing the first leg 6–14, the 3rds travelled to Newlands with a point to prove — and they absolutely delivered!
A commanding 15–5 win, taking 4 out of 5 matches, showed real progress, determination, and belief. A great response and a well-earned result.

👉 Overall: 48 out of 54 points across the club — an outstanding effort from everyone involved!

A strong and much-needed response after the pre-Christmas setback! The 1st team delivered 16 valuable points, keeping Hamilton top of the league by a single but crucial point.
Momentum is building — and with big fixtures ahead, there’s plenty of opportunity to stretch that lead further! 🔥

💥 2nd Team vs Giffnock 2 (Home)
A full squad, full focus… and a FULL HOUSE! 😮‍🔥
The 2nds swept the board with a perfect 18-point haul, a huge confidence boost as they hold 2nd place, now 14 points behind the leaders and 6 points clear of SSRC 3.
Next up: away to Scotstoun — and the aim is clear… keep the pressure on! 💪

🔥 3rd Team @ Giffnock 3
An outstanding night for the 3rds! The first four matches all ended in 3–1 wins for Hamilton, before an unexpected fire alarm sent everyone outside to cool off 🚨😅
No problem though — Hamilton stayed red hot after the break and sealed a brilliant 18–4 victory, giving the team some welcome breathing space away from the relegation zone! 👏
Next Wednesday we’re back at home vs Scotstoun, aiming to keep the momentum rolling!

On 13/12, we hosted an amazing social event and the club was absolutely buzzing from start to finish! 🙌

We were thrilled to see so many juniors come along and get involved. With fun games set up by Connor, Darcy & Barry, the kids had an absolute blast 🎾✨ Some even picked up a racket for the very first time—and judging by the smiles and excitement, they didn’t want the session to end!

Next up, it was time for the adults to step on court and take on Connor & Darcy, our First Team’s No.1 and No.2 💪🔥 Whether you were brave enough to play or just enjoyed watching, the entertainment was top class!

To round off the day, the boys treated us to a brilliant exhibition match, followed by well-earned drinks and food in the bar 🍻🍴—the perfect way to finish.

The atmosphere throughout the club was fantastic, and we’re already looking forward to hosting a full open day with similar matches early in the new year 👀🎉
