🎉🎉 We won 🎉🎉

I’am absolutely delighted and extremely proud to announce that we won the award for Sports Team or Club of the year at the Hereford Times community awards 2026 ♥️

To have even been nominated and shortlisted for the finals was a wonderful feeling but to hear our name called out last night was incredible.

Last night was a fantastic evening and was extremely humbling to be sat amongst some amazing people and businesses who go above and beyond for our local community.

To our amazing dojo - THANK YOU!!! Thank you for creating an environment where everyone is welcome, able to feel safe and most importantly excel. This award is for every single person in our karate community. Without you all none of this would be possible ♥️

🥋🥋 KKO GB squad training and trials 🥋🥋

At the weekend a small team from our dojo travelled up to South Shields for another training session ran by the Kenshin Karate Organisation - KKO coaches.

Well done to Leo Mcguigan who was invited on the day to run part of the kumite section. Leo is a great ambassador for our club and continues to learn and grow with each session he leads.

A massive shoutout to Isaac who was successful in his first ever trials for the GB team. Isaac earned his ‘B’ squad badge on Sunday and is the latest competitor from our club to represent the KKO at international level. Isaac will join the rest of the team at his first ever European competition later this month 💪♥️ congratulations Isaac, you really deserve this recognition!!

🥋🥋 Grading success 🥋🥋

A huge congratulations to everyone who successfully graded recently and are now one step further in their karate journey ♥️

You all deserve your recognition and have worked incredibly hard to get to this point!

Congratulations also goes to Leo who led the grading for the very first time in Sensei Gemma’s absence. He did a brilliant job and always leads by example. Huge shoutout to both Theo and Ethan S who were on hand on the day to support Leo. What a team!!
