βThe most rewarding moments come from recognising and nurturing the potential already within our teams. When I first joined The Bannatyne Group in Stepps at the start of the year Craig worked as a Member Care Assistant. His qualities stood out immediatelyβ
By taking the time to understand his career aspirations, we were able to support his drive for continuous learning, and I am incredibly proud to share that after committing to his Level 2 Gym Instructor Certificate, Craig has officially transitioned into his new role as a Fitness Advisor πͺ
Craigβs journey is a testament to the power of internal progression; by embracing new skills, he hasnβt just changed his job titleβhe has unlocked an entirely new career pathway.
A massive thank you to the team at Fitness Training Scotland for their exceptional support in helping him achieve this milestone πβ David Fitzpatrick General Manger Bannatyne Stepps | Health Club | Gym | Wellness

Another X Adaptive Open completed!
Itβs fantastic to see this competition continuing to grow, with more adaptive strength athletes stepping onto the platform each year. From snatching with one arm to clean and jerking with one leg, these awesome athletes continue to demonstrate what humans are capable of when given the opportunity to compete and excel.
Inspiring or what!
This year also saw the introduction of a rising bar system, bringing the competition more in line with traditional weightlifting events as adaptive strength sport continues to develop and evolve.
It was great to have from WodAptive, who joined the Technical Official team this year, along with myself and .holt_ His expertise in adaptive sport, understanding of athlete classifications, and knowledge of competition standards were invaluable in ensuring a fair, professional, and successful event for all competitors.
Congratulations to everyone involved, athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and supporters, for another outstanding competition.
The future of adaptive strength sport is looking brighter and stronger than ever.

πβ¨ CELEBRATING SUCCESS β¨π
A huge congratulations to Libby Elder from the Highlife Highland, Dingwall Leisure Centre on successfully completing her Level 2 Modern Apprenticeship in Instructing Exercise & Fitness! ππ
Starting her journey as a Leisure Assistant, Libby has worked hard to develop her skills, knowledge and confidence, progressing into a Gym Instructor role and taking on new responsibilities within her workplace. πͺ
π£βI really enjoyed completing my Modern Apprenticeship and Gym Instructor qualifications, as they gave me the opportunity to learn new things and develop my skills. The programme helped me become more confident when speaking to people and working in a gym setting.
The course also improved my understanding of fitness and training, which has been valuable for both my personal and professional growth. It has enabled me to lead sessions such as Teen Gym and gym inductions, and has given me the skills and knowledge to support people in a gym environment. It will also help me pursue future opportunities within the fitness industry.β Libby Elder
Weβre incredibly proud to have supported Libby throughout her funded Modern Apprenticeship programme, including helping her achieve her Active IQ Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification. ππ
Well done, Libby! We canβt wait to see what you achieve next. π
