Subject: IMMEDIATE BOOKING TERMINATION: Steve Prescott Centre (Hull Trinity House Academy) – Contract Breach
Dear Vivify Venues Management,
I am writing to formally terminate our recurring block booking for the 3G pitch at the Steve Prescott Centre (Hull Trinity House Academy), effective immediately.
We are cancelling this booking due to a material breach of contract and a failure to provide the service with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The venue has become entirely unfit for purpose due to the following ongoing operational failures:
Access Failures (Lockouts): We have repeatedly been locked out of the facility during our paid, designated timeslot because site staff failed to open the gates. This occurred on 2/10/2026 and also 28/9/2026
Unsafe & Unplayable Surface: The pitch condition has deteriorated and is currently unsafe to play on due to Damaged to the playing surface, lifting of the 3G pitch. Holes around the penalty spot. creating an immediate injury risk to our players.
Because Vivify Venues has failed to provide a safe, accessible, and playable facility, we do not accept any standard 30-day notice period or cancellation penalties.
Please confirm in writing within 3 business days that our booking has been closed, all future automated invoices/drawdowns have been cancelled, will be also await a full refund for the dates we where locked out.
They is also a large amount of damage to goals and nets plus some flood lights are not working or hidden behind large trees
Kind regards,
Carl Lee

After talking with the area manager for Vivify Venues an in depth conversation he admitted the site has fallen well below expectations, he confirmed Vivify has purchased new nets on the schools behalf and are also looking to invest in the goals. I got made aware prior to our conversation that the venue had received a large sum of money for investment and on talking to him he could not confirm or deny this. He also said that they was a company going to look at the pitch at the end of October at all the damaged areas to either repair or replace.
Finally Vivify venues have agreed to cancel our booking slot for the Friday night sessions and we have received a partial refund for the missed sessions. It’s not perfect but it allows me to concentrate on the club again. This was a big worry and distraction to us, I would also like to say thank you to ST Mary’s who will be hosting our u18s and Soccer Kings who will look after our u15s.
And lastly thank you to all our parents for their support it’s never easy when training keeps changing but something that was out of our hands could have been a lot worse.
