We bid a fond farewell to Matt Yeomans, who will be leaving Leicestershire & Rutland County FA at the end of October after more than three and a half years with the organisation.
As our Head of Commercial & Marketing, Matt has played a key role in shaping and delivering the County FAโs commercial strategy, developing partnerships, generating income and raising the profile of grassroots football across Leicestershire and Rutland.
During his time with the County FA, Matt has secured a number of new commercial partnerships, strengthened relationships with existing sponsors and helped unlock new opportunities to generate income through sponsorship, events and the development of Holmes Park as a venue for football and wider community use.
Matt has also helped shape the County FAโs Recognition Awards into the event they are today, contributing to their continued growth and success, with record-breaking nominations and attendance celebrating the outstanding contributions of volunteers, coaches, clubs and individuals across grassroots football. The awards have become a fantastic opportunity to bring the football community together and recognise the people who make the game special.
Another key highlight has been helping to establish a dedicated matchday at Holmes Park for the female pathway, creating more opportunities for girlsโ and womenโs football and supporting the continued growth of the female game across the county.
Through his work, Matt has helped build connections between businesses, the County FA and its network of clubs, players, coaches and volunteers, creating opportunities for partners to support the game and make a positive difference in local communities.
