It was great to see what the girls are learning they are putting into practice! I’m so proud of them all ❤️⚽️❤️⚽️ There was also great support and kindness to each other while the girls were subbed today which was so lovely to watch!

I want to mention firstly:

Epworth foxes u11s vs Epworth Lionesses u11s

Wow, what a great game for both teams. We played with high intensity, some outstanding football amd stayed focus for the majority of the game. It makes me so proud to see some of the football on display today and our girls have no ceiling, discussing tactics during the breaks shows the level the girls are producing. Really well done.

Massive credit to the foxes for playing some outstanding football, great ball play and an excellent game

Player of the match was Zienna, took her chances really well, great energy and some lovely passing.

Parents player was Lilly-Rae for meeting the ball, an excellent 1 touch finish and working across both defenders.

Really well done Girls 🔥

🦁⚽ MATCH REPORT ⚽🦁

Epworth Forest U12 Lionesses 1-1 Nuneaton Town Junior Girls

🏟️ Another early 9:30 KO at home at Fullhurst College, this time against Nuneaton Town Junior Girls, the girls rocking their kit sponsored by Solutions Diverse! 👕

The Lionesses started strong, controlling the tempo and putting Nuneaton under real pressure from the off 🔥 Chance after chance was created and the Nuneaton keeper was well tested, but the girls just couldn't find that breakthrough — half time finished goalless, 0-0.

The second half followed a similar pattern, Epworth continuing to push and dominate the ball. But against the run of play, Nuneaton caught the Lionesses out on the counter with a long ball over the top on 42 minutes to take the lead 😬

The girls didn't let it faze them, continuing to press for the equaliser. With 8 minutes left they thought they'd got it, only for the goal to be ruled offside 🚩 But there was still time for a happy ending — with 2 minutes to go, Isla played Cora through once again, and this time she made no mistake, firing home a deserved equaliser! ⚽🙌

Cracking game with plenty of good football on show from both sides 👏

🏆 Page Plumbing Coaches' Player of the Match: Sienna W — brilliant at left back, strong both defensively and going forward
🏆 Page Plumbing Parents' Player of the Match: Sienna K — a rock-solid performance at the heart of defence

Great effort from all the girls! 🦁 Thank you to Solutions Diverse for keeping us looking sharp as always! 💙 Next up, the Lionesses travel away to take on Ambleside Junior U12 Aces 👀

Sunday 4th Oct. Epworth Forest Foxes U11s vs Whetstone Juniors U12s.

*Whetstone 3-2 Foxes*

Viv ⚽️🏆 Parents Player of the Match.
Millie 🏆 Coaches Player of the Match.

A hard battle for the girls today. A tight pitch and against a team that worked very hard meant we needed to be sharp with the passing.

We never quite got the fluid passing going like usual with whetstone sitting deep and playing very compact.

Both of our goals were excellent. The first a great team effort down the right with a nice simple finish. The second a superb solo run by Viv weaving in and out and then finishing calmly.

Well done girls

Match Report
U13 Tigresses v Loughborough

Extremely unfortunate not to come away with the win. The girls created multiple chances throughout the game but just couldn’t quite get it over the line.

Every single player put in a real shift today. We had multiple players carrying knocks across the pitch, which really started to take its toll in the second half as we began to run a little out of steam. Despite that, the chances kept coming and the girls continued to battle right until the final whistle.

One of the biggest positives today was seeing just how much this group is developing. The girls have created a brilliant bond, supporting each other all over the pitch, and they’re becoming much more vocal with their communication, which is fantastic to see.

🏆 Players' Player – Ava
Some excellent passing throughout the game, with her movement off the ball also being brilliant. She was constantly looking for space and making things happen — and even managed to get herself a cheeky tap-in! 👏🏼

🏆 Parents' Player – Lyla
An absolute workhorse today. Battled non-stop, worked tirelessly and constantly tried to make things happen from the front. She got a well-deserved goal and could easily have had another 2 or 3 with the chances she created.

A massive effort from everyone today. Lots of positives to take forward. 💜🖤

Epworth Forest Tigresses 0 - 6 Leicester Nirvana

Another tough test and result for the girls today. The game started pretty evenly with chances for both teams, we just could not find the net when it mattered today. Leicester Nirvana had a few skilful and fast players that took their opportunities when they came to them and we went into the break 2-0 down.

The second half saw the boys come out with more confidence and they added to their total, with the girls battling hard to defend and try and play football to create chances when they could. Another hard game but the girls are learning from these and shouldn’t get disheartened by the results.

💎 A WELL-DESERVED WIN FOR OUR DIAMONDS! 💎

It was a scrappy start for the girls today, and we found ourselves 2–0 down, but what followed showed the character and determination this team has in abundance. 💪⚽️

Harper got us back into the game with a fantastic goal to make it 2–1.

We continued to battle and Frankie produced an excellent finish to bring us level at 2–2. 🔥

Then, when Lola was fouled inside the penalty area, Frankie stepped up from the spot and kept her cool to fire home and secure a fantastic 3–2 victory! ⚽️👏

🏆 Parents’ Player: Gemma 🧤
🏆 managers Player: Lola 👏

That makes it 5 games and 5 wins! 🔥💎

What a fantastic start to the season. The girls showed resilience, teamwork and determination to turn the game around today.

Well done, Diamonds! 💎💙⚽️

Proud of every single one of you! 👏
