🌳Match Report🌳

Today our women’s T1 team played against the fab Nottingham Casuals team, who gave us a really warm welcome to their home of rugby.

The first 20 minutes were tough, as we leaked a few tries and found ourselves wondering if we could pull the game back. But the second 20 minutes saw us stand up and hold our own, scoring a couple of tries to bring the score back to 7 tries to 4 to Casuals.

With 20 minutes to go, our resilience, commitment and team spirit really showed. We dug deep, battled for every ball and never gave up, eventually fighting our way back to an incredible 7–7 draw.

A huge thank you to Nottingham Casuals for their fantastic hospitality. We really enjoyed our visit and are already looking forward to welcoming you all to Leicester Forest for the return fixture!

Swipe through to see what a few weeks it’s been for our Minis & Juniors! 💙

So many smiling faces, brilliant rugby and lots of kids enjoying being out on the pitch and playing together.

It’s been so lovely watching all of our age groups get stuck in, support each other, make new friends and just enjoy playing rugby. Some are completely new to the game, others have been playing for years, but they’re all showing what being part of Leicester Forest is about.

And our TREDS values are shining through every week

Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.

We’ve seen kids encouraging each other, celebrating each other’s successes, picking each other up when things don’t go their way and giving everything they’ve got on the pitch. That’s what grassroots rugby is all about.

A huge shoutout to all of our coaches, volunteers and parents too. The amount of time and effort that goes into making Sundays happen doesn’t go unnoticed!

We’ve got such a brilliant bunch of kids coming through… and we’re only just getting started! 💙

WEEKEND MATCH REPORT

A tough afternoon for our 1st XV away at Wellingborough, but plenty of hard work and effort from the lads despite the scoreline.

Meanwhile, our Senior Academy got their season off to a winning start with a 14-5 victory away at Loughborough! A hard-fought game, with Forest coming out on top after a strong second-half performance.

Well done to both teams for putting in a shift this weekend! 💙
