🔴 LIVERPOOL FC TICKETING REVIEW — THE NEXT PHASE 🎟️

Liverpool FC have today outlined the next phase of engagement with the Supporters Board as the club continues its review of ticketing.

There are still important areas to be discussed, with the latest announcement potentially having a significant impact on how tickets and match credits work in future seasons.

Here’s what we know so far 👇

🎟️ WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW?

Liverpool will continue working with the official Supporters Board, with further supporter consultation taking place over the coming months.

The club says the review will continue to focus on three key areas:

🔴 Improving access to tickets
🔴 Improving the supporter ticketing journey
🔴 Strengthening protection against ticket abuse

The Supporters Board will also be seeking views from supporters as part of this next phase.

The club has also said it may use its Your Voice supporter research platform if additional supporter feedback is required.

📝 TWO BIG AREAS UNDER DISCUSSION

There are two particularly important areas highlighted by Liverpool:

1️⃣ FUTURE CUP CREDIT RULES 🏆

The club and Supporters Board will discuss how match credits for cup games could work in the future.

This could potentially have a major impact on supporters who build their cup credits across the season.

Liverpool says any changes would need to take into account the possible impact on cup final ticketing policy.

There is also the possibility that changes could eventually allow the Ticket Exchange to be used for home cup fixtures.

⚠️ Nothing has been finalised yet.

2️⃣ AUTOMATIC 13+ TICKET ALLOCATION 🎟️

Another proposal being discussed is whether members who currently qualify for the 13+ category could potentially have tickets automatically assigned according to their preferences.

This would be different from the current process of supporters having to queue and purchase tickets online.

Again, this is currently an area for discussion and consultation — not a confirmed change.

✈️ AWAY TICKETING ALSO ON THE TABLE

One important development is that the next stage will also look at away ticketing.

Liverpool recognises that away tickets are very different from home tickets because of the much smaller number available.

The club says any future system would therefore need to reflect the particular circumstances of away games rather than simply copying whatever approach is used for home fixtures.

📅 WHEN WILL WE KNOW MORE?

The structured engagement is expected to continue through to December 2026.

The aim is then to finalise recommendations for the 2027/28 season once this stage of consultation has been completed.

So supporters should not expect all of these potential changes to happen immediately.

Any future changes would be communicated with sufficient notice, particularly for supporters who have recently earned eligibility or match credits.

Liverpool has also confirmed that, as with the recent Premier League credit changes, any future changes would apply to future credit earning only and would not be applied retrospectively.

📊 WHY IS THIS REVIEW HAPPENING?

Liverpool says the ongoing work is being informed by:

• Supporter surveys
• Fan focus groups
• Feedback from the Supporters Board
• Ticketing data from the previous five seasons
• The club's wider ticketing review

More than 500,000 supporters were invited to take part in a survey last season as part of the process.

The club says this feedback is being used to help shape the future of ticketing at Anfield.

🔴 WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR SUPPORTERS?

For now, nothing changes immediately as a result of today's announcement.

The important point is that Liverpool are now moving into the next stage of consultation, where some potentially major areas of ticketing policy will be discussed.

🏆 Could future cup credit changes affect cup final eligibility?
🔄 Could the Ticket Exchange eventually be opened for home cup games?
