He was also awarded black belt of the day for coming up with a new and effective way of teaching last night's foot sweep technique to the younger players 🥋 Thanks Stephen for being such a big help and role model!

Congratulations to Camilla on taking gold at the Heart of England.

The first match was a sluggish start, with the penalty paid when she conceded a score with a few seconds left

This kicked her into gear and her second match was far better, winning with a throw and hold

Her third, an easy victory with a throw and she rounded off the day with a throw and hold.

A good warm up for the British Minors.

Congratulations to Chloe taking the England Closed U63kgs Gold

A slow and scrappy war of attrition resulted in a yuko victory in her first match

Second fight was much better with a better pace, dominating grips and great ex*****on of a plan we had worked on

Semis were another level again with a well executed uchi mata

The final another excellent display of grip control and another uchi mata victory

Well worth the 400 mile round trip for her

Well done to Kyle on his second 5th place of the year in a level 4 standard comp, in the Western Open at Bath.

Kyle fought a high calibre of players losing to both eventual bronze medallists from either side of the pools.

Kyle did very well besting an excellent player with an ippon hand technique along the way
