Spending the happiest of birthdays on Memorial Weekend at Cornell with baby. Vet school may be out, but Nicole’s still rises at 6am to ´pet-sit’ on a family farm with 4 donkeys 🫏 who try to eat others’ food before their own, 2 mischievous goats 🐐 she must wrangle back into their enclosure, a horse 🐴 who spits on her, a chinchilla, and a free-roaming diabetic cat 🐈 on insulin — whom she first has to find and catch! Before our own dinner, she does it all again 😭

After the Monday 6am feed, she’s on call at her Cornell large animal hospital job and scrubs in for calf surgery. We’re exhausted just trying to keep up with her, and still somehow managed a tour of the vet school, the art museum, and some time outdoors when the rain finally stopped.

🎂 Happiest birthday jaunt to Milano 🇮🇹 with Turandot at La Scala, birthday lunch with my fabulous Leslie and Tom, admiring friends’ works during design week, namely the uber cool architect Kulapat Yantrasast and his deconstructed yurt in WHEN APRICOTS BLOOM, and his popup of gorgeous mirrors by , granddaughter of Claude Lalanne… then eating, sleeping and luxuriating in the chic and sunny streets of Milan where even the pet dogs have a style 🐕

🎈A quarter century ago I gave birth to the sunniest boy , who thrives on love and positivity, pushes through life’s ups and downs with strength and grace, and never gives up. Keep shining, keep smiling, and keep being the incredible person you are. The best is yet to come! Happy birthday Juju🎂 Love mama 🥰

- 🎹celebrating with Josée - the coolest girl - after a hugely successful concert we spearheaded together on Les Nuits de la Fondation Maeght Committee. The season kicked off by showcasing the outstanding local teenage pianist of world-class calibre, Paul Salard. Follow his bright future.
- 🎨Pierre Tal Coat’s mosaic wall - the International Council of the Fondation Maeght proudly supported it’s restoration for the first time after over 60 years! We can finally admire the glittering pebbles taken from the original building site, which change with the light and rain. And we got to walk on the grass!
- 🌸Minjung and Ragu 🐶become the first visitors to my pilates studio bearing beautiful pivoines from her garden and an abundance of joy!
- 🐣Easter lunch with Diana, a cherished fellow committee member of the International Council 💕
- 💃🏻Dina my training buddy of 20 years, fellow alum of , ex Ballet de l’Opéra de Nice - her every move is full of grace! Workout, lunch, brainstorming outreach to the dance community for Fondation Maeght’s modern dance efforts.
- 🥾hike up the hills Coursegoules on a gorgeous day with the hub.
- 💻zoom with my master teacher in New York always a highlight wherever I am.

2️⃣0️⃣ years and getting stronger 🤩In 2006, Shakira’s HIPS DON’T LIE hit no.1; I finished my Romana’s Pilates certification in Paris and New York; moved back to London with the toddlers, started True Pilates London and worked around the school run schedule until they grew big and moved away 😔. With the most incredible teachers and training on the planet, the fun really begins AFTER certification. Like magic, the method, the work, the community keeps us thriving for a lifetime. Thank you 🙏🏻 and to my superlative teachers along the way (in chronological order order) .taupin.paris Romana Kryzanowska and last but never least, the one who lifted me out of the dust of Abu Dhabi and kept training me since Covid! THE PICTURE COMES FIRST: last night, Rose Wylie, the 91 year old became the first British female artist to have a solo exhibition spanning the entire Main Galleries of the Royal Academy. This comes hot on the heels of Marina Abramović who, in 2023, became the first woman ever to achieve this feat. Since its founding in 1768, RA solo exhibitions in the prestigious Main Galleries were historically reserved for men.

Don’t miss Rose Wylie’s monumental paintings that are irreverent, rebellious and joyful all at once. On for a few weeks only.

Back to my old friend the Wunda chair. When your master teacher is Cynthia it’s hard to escape this intense workout where holding each movement simply takes my breath away.
