Meet Taki. Welcome to Re-Create. ๐ŸคŽ

Hello, Iโ€™m Taki, and welcome to my little corner of the internet.

Iโ€™m a Christian woman, a mum, a content creator and a woman in her forties who is learning to Re-Create her life, one day at a time.

Not because I have everything figured out. Far from it.

Iโ€™ve made mistakes, Iโ€™ve had to start again, and Iโ€™m still learning what it means to be disciplined, look after myself, grow in my faith and build a life with intention.

This page is where Iโ€™m documenting that journey.

Youโ€™ll find my walk with Jesus, health and fitness, wellness, morning routines, books Iโ€™m learning from, self-care, motherhood, hair, ambition and the quieter moments of everyday life.

It might sound like a mixture of things, but to me, theyโ€™re all connected. Theyโ€™re different parts of the same life Iโ€™m learning to steward better.

Romans 12:2 reminds us of being โ€œtransformed by the renewing of your mind.โ€ (KJV)

Thatโ€™s a beautiful reminder that change begins much deeper than what people can see.

I donโ€™t want this to be a page that only shows the good days. I want to share what Iโ€™m learning, what Iโ€™m trying, what works, what doesnโ€™t and the little victories along the way.

And hopefully, something here will encourage or help another woman on her own journey.

If youโ€™re new here, welcome. ๐Ÿ’œ

Iโ€™d love to know: What is one area of your life youโ€™re working on or hoping to change?

Meet Taki ๐ŸคŽ | A little bit about me and what youโ€™ll find here.

Iโ€™m a Christian woman in my forties, a mum, a content creator and a woman learning how to Re-Create different areas of her life.

Iโ€™m not starting from perfection. Iโ€™m starting from experience, mistakes, lessons and the desire to do things differently.

This little corner of Instagram is where Iโ€™m documenting that journey.

๐Ÿ“– Faith with Jesus โ€” Bible study, prayer and learning to put God at the centre of my everyday life.

๐ŸŒฟ Health & Fitness โ€” Working on my strength, nutrition, sleep, wellbeing and building sustainable habits.

๐Ÿ“š Mindset & Ambition โ€” Learning from books, developing discipline, improving my work ethic and following through on my goals.

๐ŸคŽ Hair & Self-Care โ€” Taking better care of myself, exploring routines and sharing the products and experiences along the way.

๐Ÿก Motherhood & Country Living โ€” The ordinary, sometimes messy, beautiful moments that make up my everyday life.

Iโ€™m learning as I go, and Iโ€™ll be sharing the progress as well as the difficult days.

โ€œBehold, I will do a new thing.โ€ โ€” Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)

I believe God can work in every season of our lives, including the seasons where we find ourselves starting again.

If youโ€™re also trying to grow, rebuild or become more intentional with your life, youโ€™re welcome here. ๐Ÿ’œ

Tell me, which area of your life are you currently working on?

One thing Iโ€™m learning at 45 is that I donโ€™t have to apologise for needing rest. ๐Ÿ’œ

Yesterday was day one of my period, and I managed my normal workout at the gym.

Today is day two, and Iโ€™m practically bedbound.

Thatโ€™s how quickly things can change when youโ€™re living with endometriosis and adenomyosis.

For so many years, I thought I was supposed to push through. I compared myself to other women and wondered why something as ordinary as a period could completely drain me.

Getting a diagnosis helped me understand that what I was experiencing wasnโ€™t just a bad period.

I still have days when I feel frustrated, especially when thereโ€™s so much I want to accomplish.

But Iโ€™m learning to listen to my body rather than fight against it.

Today, rest is enough.

If you live with a condition that other people canโ€™t always see, how have you learnt to give yourself grace? ๐Ÿ’œ

May is here and I want to be honest with you about what showing up really looks like for me ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Everything I wear and use in my workouts is linked in one place so it is easy to find ๐Ÿ”— https://beacons.ai/takilove

I have sciatica and endometriosis. Both of them have the ability to completely pull me off track and some days they do. But this month I made myself a promise. I am going to keep showing up in whatever capacity my body will allow. Not pushing through pain recklessly but staying as consistent as I possibly can because my health and my goals matter to me ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ

Isaiah 53:5 has been on my heart this month. By his wounds we are healed โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ I say it before I train. I say it when I am getting dressed and filling up my water bottle and trying to talk myself into not cancelling the session. It keeps me anchored. It reminds me that my body is not my enemy even on the days it feels that way. If you are a person of faith you will understand what it means to hold onto something bigger than your circumstances and let it carry you when your own strength is not quite enough ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Chronic conditions change how we train. They do not have to stop us entirely. Here is what has genuinely helped me stay consistent ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Listening to my body and not my ego. On hard days a slow walk is still a session. Getting there is the win ๐Ÿข

Staying hydrated throughout every single workout. I keep my WaterH BOOST water bottle with me every time I train and making hydration non-negotiable has made a real difference to how I feel during and after each session ๐Ÿ’ง

Wearing something comfortable that actually moves with me. On the days when everything feels heavy, wearing a gym outfit that fits properly and feels good genuinely changes the energy. Mine is linked below ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Treating rest as part of the programme. Chronic pain does not respond well to constant pushing. Recovery is not laziness. It is strategy โœจ

One more thing I want to say to anyone training with a chronic condition. Please speak with your GP or physiotherapist about what movement looks like for you specifically. There is no one size fits all and the right professional support can make all the difference to how safely and sustainably you are able to train.

If any of this resonates, whether you are managing a chronic condition, going through a difficult season or just struggling to stay consistent right now, please know that your effort counts ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฝ All of it. The messy sessions, the shortened workouts, the days you showed up when you really did not want to. All of it counts.

You are not failing. You are fighting. Keep going ๐Ÿ’ซ
