My daughter turned 18 this weekend.

When I had her I have no idea how to look after her. I wasnt prepared at all. I had a few friends that had had babies, but not enough.

My parents were an hour away.
My partner had 2 weeks off work then I realised quickly that I has to care for her all of the time.
I had to feed her, change her, entertain her and keep her alive. I had no idea what I was doing and it didn't come naturally to me.

I worked it out by trying things and chatting to other mums about how they were doing it.
I always felt like there was a mummy secret that no one was telling me.

But I did a baby massage course and met other local mums, we met at each others houses for chats and swapped ideas and it got easier. Some of us are still friends now.

I still have no idea what im doing but 1 out of 3 kids is now an adult, so im now working out what it means to have an adult child.

I have learnt alot over the years, mostly no one knows what they are doing, we are all making it up and doing motherhood how we want to.

You need local mums with babies the same age and you meet them by doing baby classes such as my baby yoga class. At the end of the class mums go for a brew and a chat, you need this time to buld a community.

You have to be flexible as a mum, you can make plans and have ideas and they will change from moment to moment.

We had 18th birthday plans with Penelope, but they changed, when she wake up with a sore throat, after 2 lots of antibiotics that didnt work, we decided together that she needed to go back to A&E on her birthday, she spent her 18th birthday and that night in hospital, not what we excepted but we adapt.

Shes doing better now and we will fully celebrate once she's off the antibiotics.

From my experience I am passionate about helping and supporting family to prepare for having a baby, by teaching pregnancy yoga classes, offering birth preparation sessions and home visits to help you set up your home for your baby.

I am here for you if you need me once baby is here, I offer postnatal support, I can help around your home with baby duties. And I am a ad hoc nanny.

Im here if you need me. x

You and your baby benefit from every pregnancy yoga class to come too.

We move, stretch and strengthen, breath, prepare for labour, and prepare for being the best mother you can be.

My pregnancy yoga classes are more then just yoga. Every class is a antenatal class.

At the end of every class I play the same piece of relaxation music, so you learn to relax when you hear the music, I then play the same music at the end of each baby yoga class. Babies hear thia music in their mums belly and then in baby yoga classes.

The babies who where in bellies in these photos are now, almost 2 and happy, healthy and running around.

1 of them, hears the same piece of relaxation music, at his nursery once a week when I teach baby yoga at footprints nursery in Bollington.

I love the continued time I spend with these babies, from bellies, to baby yoga with mums to baby yoga at nursery.

And the mums stay with me, as they enjoy coming to women's yoga in the evening for some time for themselves.

This weekend I was invited to teach a pre ride yoga session in the forest at CannockChase. And it was beautiful.

Surrounded by tall pine trees, a warm sun and soft earth beneath us. A lovely group of women and their bikes near by joined me to move, stretch, breathe a little deeper and I reminded them that they deserved to be there, to have time to do thing for themselves.

To ride bikes with other women. It brings so much joy. No pressure, just fun, support and chats.

I am very greatful that Emily from invited me to start the day with yoga.

A free event, from trial bloom, where women enjoyed, yoga, PT, trail fixes talk, coaching and rides all for free.

Thankyou to all that gave there time and all the women that join me. I loved the day and I finally started to get my wheels off the ground comfortably and loved it!

Next event is in September, if you want to ride bikes in the forest, come join us!

So relaxed that you dont want to move.

Supported by boalsters and cushion that you cant move.

With a cool eye mask.

After a stretching, flowing, breathing and building strength we rest and relax deeper.

I am only teaching two more of these classes then taking a break for the summer so if you have been thinking of coming and trying the class, message me and come along.

The babies favourite part of baby yoga, the bubbles.

The babies at Footprints nurseries in Macclesfield and Bollington, ask for bubbles as soon as I walk in to the room.

The staff at both the nurseries, and myself, work with the babies, allowing them to do some yoga then wonder off. All the babies get a turn, some babies do the whole 45 minutes class.

We always end the class with bubbles and relaxation music.

It's a really lovely part of the babies week.
