Some of us are very good at talking ourselves out of things that are actually good for us…

Without even realising it.

We sit with the “what ifs” for so long, especially the negative ones, that they start to shape what we do…or don’t do.

It’s like walking around with an umbrella everywhere you go, just in case it might rain.

At first, it feels like you’re being prepared.
But over time, it becomes heavy.

Before you know it, you’re not just preparing for the rain…you’re expecting it.

Even looking for it, just to justify why you’ve been holding back.

The truth is, the thoughts you keep entertaining will eventually influence the direction you take.

So the question is:

What was the last thing you talked yourself out of?
And what convinced you not to go for it?

If you pause and reflect, you might notice how often those thoughts quietly hold you back from taking action or pursuing what matters.

This is only my third post on social media this year — and for anyone who knows me, that’s very unlike me… and completely intentional.

In previous years, being this quiet would have triggered FOMO — the fear of missing out 😰

This year? I feel Grounded. Clear. Confident 😊

Instead of saying yes to everything, I’ve been more intentional about what I say yes to… and just as intentional about what I say no to.
