✨️Sorry, not sorry, but this needed to be said. Our Grief is at risk of being pathologised.
✨️Our ancestors had Community around them, to carry those that had fallen to their knees because of an utterly broken heart, loss of earnings etc. They wore Black to tell others 'Im grieving, I need support & kindness' please.
✨️I spent nearly 10 years in Spain and I can tell you from personal experience, they do things very different there. They are open about their Grief, they wail in Public, including the Men, they support their family, friends & community, by shopping, cooking, taking kids to school, for as long as needed, no call me if you need me. The Pastor visits them. Their Church prays for them in the Church Service, and so much more, it's beautiful 💕🙏
✨️If you take a look at the Captions & Comments in my Grid, you will soon know my take on this subject.
✨️But absolutely anyone is welcome here, so Follow, Like or Share if I haven't offended you.
PS. FYI - My Granddaughters were told Mummy has gone to Heaven and no, they do not expect Mummy to float down on a Unicorn, they are very aware of what has happened and not traumatized by the word 'Heaven'.
Love
Dawn💕
