Fun games and rallies.

There will be more of these sessions during the summer months so if you’d like your children to give tennis a try then please get in touch.

It’s that time again! Our annual sponsored walk is just around the corner, and we’re inviting all Squash Academy families (and supporters!) to get involved. πŸŒΏπŸ‘Ÿ

Let’s see if we can we beat last years world record of the most squash rackets at the top of Roseberry!! πŸ’ͺ Let’s do this !!

πŸ“ Meet at: Newton Under Roseberry Car Park
πŸ•™ Set off: check your email/inbox for timings
πŸ’³ Parking: check your email/inbox for parking costs

Two walk options:
1️⃣ Youngest children climb Roseberry Topping – and back to Newton Under Roseberry car park.
2️⃣ Older kids + coaches continue back to the squash club – (it’s about an extra 5.5km)

πŸŽ’ Bring:
β€’ Water bottle, packed lunch & snack
β€’ Sensible shoes, weather-appropriate clothes (raincoat or sun cream!)
β€’ Inhalers/hay fever meds if needed
β€’ Long trousers for those sensitive to grass/nettles

✨ Children who raise £20+ will receive a brand-new Squash Academy T-shirt!

πŸ’¬ Parents are welcome to join the walk – just let us know. And if you know a business that might support us (e.g., match funding), we’d love the help. Every penny raised goes back into the Academy for kit, equipment, and support for the kids. πŸ™Œ

πŸ† Celebrating a Fantastic Presentation Evening for Local Squash Achievements πŸ†

A huge congratulations to all the award winners recognised at the county presentation evening, celebrating outstanding commitment, performance, and success across the local club and county squash circuit.

πŸ‘ Graeme Lewis was awarded the prestigious Endeavour Trophy, recognising exceptional individual commitment, service to the sport, and noteworthy achievements across local club and county competition.

πŸ… Ben Suggitt was named Durham and Cleveland Senior Player of the Year following an excellent season of consistent performances.

πŸ”₯ Peter Harrison earned Division 4 Player of the Year, marking a standout campaign and strong contributions throughout the league season.

πŸ† Ben Lewis collected the trophy for helping the Nunthorpe 3rd Team secure the league titleβ€”an outstanding team achievement built on effort and consistency.

It was also a fantastic opportunity for the lads to get court time and share the experience with top world-ranked players Sam Todd and Simon Herbert, adding extra inspiration to an already special evening.

A brilliant night celebrating dedication, talent, and community spirit across the sport.

Well done to all the DCSRA winnersβ€”and credit to the county for organising an excellent presentation evening. πŸ…

A great couple of sessions today, even though a few of our coaches and helpers were resting as in competition finals tonight.

Finals night presentations for club and juniors presentations is TONIGHT. All family, friends and guest welcome. A live band will also be on too for your entertainment.
