🚲 It’s Bike to Work Day!
Could your commute look a little different today?
Whether you cycle the whole way, combine your bike with public transport or simply ride part of the journey, every pedal counts. You don’t need specialist kit or loads of experience. Just your bike, a comfortable route and the willingness to give it a go.
Cycling to work can help you feel more active, reduce commuting costs and make your everyday journey more enjoyable.
Did you cycle to work today? Share your journey and tag us to help inspire more people across Milton Keynes to get on their bikes.

Cycling Citizens MK has been working in partnership with Get Around MK to support women into cycling.
Research shows a three times more men cycle and CCMK have been working on a number of initiatives to reduce this 'gender pedal gap'.
One of the barriers often cited is lack of access to bikes and confidence cycling. Get around MK have been offering free women’s bikeability sessions monthly and Ann, Jane and Marie from CCMK have been offering and leading follow-up rides to enable the women to put their skills into practice and gain further confidence. Thanks to Two Mile Ash School who have allowed us to borrow their bikes, so access to a bike is not a barrier.
A huge congratulations to Nish and Arasi who have been undertaking these cycling training sessions and on Saturday completed their ‘graduation ride’ of 14 miles - their longest ever distance! by riding MK's Millennium route 🏆🏅Nish and Arasi you should be very proud of your achievement! coming so far in only a few months.
The next graduation Ride is on 25 July. Click here to learn more or get involved https://getaroundmk.org.uk/events/free-womens-cycling-sessions-in-milton-keynes
