MEMBER OF THE MONTH 🏆 ELSA

There’s something pretty special about watching someone start to realise just how capable they actually are.

Elsa joined our 6am crew around the beginning of June and, in those first few weeks, she was quiet, a little timid and would actually apologise if there was something she couldn’t do.

Firstly, we don’t apologise for things we can’t do yet around here. 😉

Secondly
what a difference a few months can make.

This month, something seems to have clicked.

She’s lifting better.
She’s working harder.
She’s attacking classes with more confidence.

And she’s just hit a 38kg clean, with Coach Sherlock already convinced there’s plenty more there.

But perhaps the best bit?

Elsa still doesn’t quite realise how good she could be.

We’re starting to see it though.

The strength is coming. The confidence is growing. And if she keeps turning up and putting the work in, we think there are some pretty big things ahead.

Congratulations Elsa, our very well-deserved Member of the Month. đŸ–€đŸ’Ș

Keep showing up. Keep surprising yourself.

If they’re going to climb, jump, run, throw things and generally refuse to sit still anyway

we might as well put it to good use. 😂

Junior Hybrid is back TONIGHT at 4:30pm at Endur Performance.

Designed for ages 8+, it’s a fun mix of functional fitness, CrossFit-style movements and hybrid training, coached properly, scaled for them and built around one very important thing:

They should actually enjoy it.

We want our juniors getting stronger, learning how to move well, building confidence and discovering that fitness doesn’t have to feel like a chore.

Expect energy.
Expect encouragement.
Expect a little bit of chaos. đŸ’Ș

⭐ ENDUR CHALLENGES #2: THE HUMAN STAR

The second of our Endur Challenges.

Last week we deadlifted people.

In this video, for reasons nobody can adequately explain, three grown adults decided to attempt a human star. ⭐

It required strength.
It required balance.
It required teamwork.

Mostly, it required us to stop laughing long enough to actually do it.

Was it perfect? No.

Was it graceful? Also no.

Did we eventually create something vaguely star-shaped?

⭐ WE'RE COUNTING IT. ⭐

Endur Challenges, taking our training seriously, ourselves considerably less so.

What ridiculous thing should we try next?

New month, new programme.

For September we’ve changed things up again to keep the classes progressing and give each day its own focus.

Mondays we’re moving onto deadlifts, Tuesdays stay focused on building the engine, Wednesdays are our team and partner workouts, Thursdays we’ll be working on bent over rows and Fridays stay as our longer HYROX race style sessions.

We’ll also be putting a little more focus on scoring workouts this month. Not because every session needs to turn into a race, but so you’ve got something to work towards, track your progress and try to improve as the weeks go on.

Whether you’re training for a HYROX, trying to get stronger and fitter, or just enjoy a good workout, there’s something different to work on throughout the week.

30/08/2026

Bank Holiday Monday and we’re still going.

Unlike most HYROX and CrossFit gyms, all our classes are still running as normal and our doors don’t close. We’re open 24 hours.

Not a member? No problem. Come down, jump into a class and see what we’re about, or just come in and get a workout done.

HYROX, CrossFit or just your own training. Bank Holiday or not, we’re open.

Drop us a message if you want to come and train.

đŸ‹ïž ENDUR CHALLENGES #1: THE HUMAN DEADLIFT

We said we were starting a new series of Endur Challenges.

We did not say they were going to be sensible.

First up: Coach Sherlock attempts a 180kg+ deadlift.

Minor complication

The weight is alive.
There’s one member hanging off each end.
And apparently humans have absolutely TERRIBLE weight distribution. 😂

Possibly the wobbliest deadlift ever completed at Endur.

Was it impressive? Yes.

Was it textbook technique? Absolutely fu***ng not.

Should you try this yourself? Also no. 😂

Welcome to Endur Gym Challenges, where the points don't matter, the rules are questionable and the main objective is to have a laugh.

What ridiculous challenge should we attempt next?

20/08/2026

Our Official HYROX Sim is coming to Endur Performance on Saturday 3rd October.

This one is doubles only and open to all levels. You don’t need to be an Endur member and you definitely don’t need to have done a HYROX before.

Whether you’re training for an upcoming race, want to see what a HYROX actually feels like, or just fancy taking on the challenge with a mate, come and give it a go.

We’ll be running the official HYROX format, so it’s a great chance to test your fitness, practise the movements and transitions and see where you’re at before race day.

Saturday 3rd October
Starting from 8am
ÂŁ15 per doubles team (ÂŁ7.50 each)
Open to members and non-members
All levels welcome

Grab a partner and get booked in. Places will be limited.

If you want to get better at HYROX, should you have training that is specific to you? Absolutely.

Does that mean you need to stop doing classes? No.

Not everyone walks into a gym because they want to be the best HYROX athlete they can possibly be. Some people walk through the door because they want to get fitter. Some need a reason to actually train. Some want to be around other people rather than training on their own.

Then something happens.

They start enjoying it. They make friends. They become more consistent. They get fitter. Someone in the class talks them into signing up for a HYROX together and suddenly they’re doing something they probably never would have done on their own.

Then they do another one.

That’s the bit I think gets forgotten when people constantly tell everyone they need to stop doing classes if they want to improve.

Of course individual programming has its place. If you’ve got specific weaknesses, goals or performance targets, your training should reflect that. But that doesn’t mean taking someone away from the part of training they actually enjoy.

There is absolutely a place for HYROX classes, CrossFit classes and individual programming to exist alongside each other.

If someone loves coming to a class, loves training with their mates and that’s what keeps them consistent, why would a good coach take that away from them?

Work their individual training around it. Give them the extra work they need. Help them improve their weaknesses. Coach them to become a better athlete without removing them from the community that got them training in the first place.

Not everyone needs to train alone to get better.

Sometimes the reason they’re still training at all is because they don’t have to.

STRONGER. FITTER. MORE CONFIDENT.

Our Endur Juniors Hybrid Class is built for the next generation.

Every Wednesday at 4:30pm, our juniors aged 8+ get to train, move, learn and have fun in a properly coached environment.

This isn’t about turning kids into mini adults or chasing PBs.

It’s about building functional fitness for life.

🏃 Running, jumping and moving
đŸ‹ïž Learning safe strength movements
đŸ’Ș Building coordination and body awareness
⚡ Developing speed, stamina and agility
🧠 Growing confidence and resilience
đŸ€ Training alongside other young people and being part of the Endur community

We want young people to discover that being active can be something they actually enjoy, while learning what their bodies are capable of.

No experience needed. No pressure to already be “sporty”. Just come along, get moving and have a go.

📍 Endur Performance
📅 Every Wednesday
⏰ 4:30pm
👩👧 Ages 8+

Strong kids. Capable kids. Confident kids.

And hopefully, a generation that grows up knowing that training is something they get to do, not something they have to do. đŸ’Ș
