It is with profound sadness that we share the news that our beloved dad, John Short, passed away yesterday, following a short and aggressive battle with cancer.

He passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his daughters, son and eldest grandchild.

Dad was a devoted father, granddad, friend, mentor, and colleague. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith touched the lives of so many people. The rugby community has lost one of its true heroes, and we know his passing will be deeply felt by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

We are heartbroken by our loss, but we take comfort in the incredible legacy he leaves behind and the countless lives he inspired throughout his life.

We would like to thank everyone for their love, prayers, and support during this incredibly difficult time. We will share details of the funeral arrangements in due course.
