Strong repairs don't come from adding more glass, they come from adding glass in the right areas. Most of the time extra layers just mean extra sanding. Understanding where the weak spots are and the purpose of the fiberglass is what allows you to use it efficiently and effectively 🤙🏄

A big part of progression in this craft, probably any craft to be fair, is figuring out a way to move beyond, 'try to be more careful' and into 'how can we make this mistake harder to make'.

Most issues come down to human variation. You can try do everything perfectly, or you design a process that doesn't depend on perfection, a process resilient to inconsistency.

That's when things start to level up 🤙🏄
