❤️ Remembering Kerry Davies ❤️

We recently received the sad news of Kerry’s passing after a short illness.

Kerry joined Kingsthorpe Jets Youth Football Club towards the end of the 2022/23 season, going on to become principal coach for our under 13s “Hornets” team.
He quickly established a reputation as an energetic, no nonsense and respected leader. With the enthusiastic support of assistant coach, Jack Foster, Kerry led the Hornets to win the Northampton and District Youth Alliance League under 14 “C” Division Trophy in 2024. Kerry continued as Hornets head coach to the end of the 2024/25 season when he moved on to Spratton and Pitsford Pumas football club.

Not content with simply running a team, Kerry lent his skills to help with the wider management of Kingsthorpe Jets.
This included the role of Assistant Welfare Officer, overseeing the appointment of referees and supporting team managers to stay up to date with their coaching qualifications.

Kerry was a kind, firm and hard working man who made a strong impression on players, parents/carers and the coaches and other volunteers at Kingsthorpe Jets.
He had a strong moral compass and was never afraid to speak his mind when he felt or saw something amiss. Kingsthorpe Jets benefited from this strength of character and we are a better club because of the time and energy he generously gave.

Kingsthorpe Jets owes Kerry and his family a debt of gratitude for the many hours of his time he gave to leading the Hornets team and for his broader contribution to our community of players, coaches, family, friends and volunteers.

Michael Oliver, Stuart Burt and James Mainwaring have been appointed to the FIFA World Cup Group F fixture between Netherlands and Sweden on Saturday 20th June, kick-off 6pm UK time

This Saturday, 20 June, the Kingsthorpe Jets family comes together at Barratts for our 2025/2026 End of Season Presentation Day.

It is one of the biggest days in the club calendar and a chance to celebrate the players, coaches, volunteers, families and supporters who have made this season so special. From our youngest Micro Jets through to our senior squads, Saturday is about recognising every player who has worn the Jets badge with pride.

The 2025/2026 season has been another huge year for Kingsthorpe Jets. With 40+ teams and more than 500 players representing the club, Jets continues to grow as one of the largest grassroots clubs in Northamptonshire.

A huge part of Presentation Day is also about saying thank you. A club of this size only works because of the time and effort given by so many people behind the scenes. From our committee and coaches to the parents, helpers, volunteers and sponsors who support teams every week, your contribution makes Kingsthorpe Jets what it is.
