🎁 SESMA IS SUPPORTING THE SHOEBOX SQUAD 🎁
I recently read about two teenage girls who have spent the last six years doing something pretty amazing.
Through The Shoebox Squad, they collect and put together Christmas gifts for adults and children in refuges, people supported by domestic violence charities, and local families who need a little extra help.
They also buy gifts for residents of nursing homes, helping to make sure that people who might otherwise receive very little at Christmas know that somebody is thinking about them. ❤️
As many of you know, SESMA is passionate about supporting our local community and, whenever we can, helping other people who share the same ethos.
So when I read about what these two young ladies have been doing, I thought we would love to help them.
🎄 SESMA is becoming a collection point for The Shoebox Squad.
We are asking our students, families, friends and the wider SESMA community to help us collect new items, including:
🎁 Toys and books
🧸 Small cuddly toys
🧴 Toiletries and gift sets
💄 Make-up
🏠 Small household/decorative items
✏️ Stationery
🧣 Hats, scarves and gloves
🎁 Or other suitable small Christmas gifts
All donations must be able to FIT in a Shoe Box
Donations can be brought into the SESMA Studio up until 14th November.
It doesn’t have to be something expensive. One small gift from lots of people can add up to an incredible amount of kindness.
And there is something else about this story that I really love.
We spend a lot of time at SESMA talking to our younger students about respect, kindness, helping others and being a positive part of their community.
These two young ladies are a brilliant example of exactly that.
They’ve shown that you don’t have to be an adult to make a difference. ❤️
So, SESMA families… let’s get behind The Shoebox Squad and see how much we can collect! 🎄🎁
