Day 2 at the National Finals for our U10 boys ended up with Norfolk finishing a hugely impressive third place🥉👏🏻

The boys faced Surrey first today. Surrey produced some great performances in singles to put them 3-0 up. A fine performance from Aksel at no.3 kept Norfolk in the tie👊🏻 3-1 Surrey after singles.
Barnaby & Ben teamed up together, after losing a tough first set in a tiebreak, they regrouped to win the second set, and then matchtiebreak 15-13🤯🙌🏻
Henry & Aksel faced a strong Surrey pair, despite fighting hard they couldn’t quite convert chances. Surrey winning 4-2.

Somerset were last up for the weekend. Henry, Oliver, Aksel and Barnaby all winning their singles to put Norfolk at 4-0 up after singles🔥
The boys continued that momentum into doubles, the pairs of Henry & Aksel and Ben & Oliver secured a full sweep of Norfolk victories💪🏼 Norfolk 6-0 winners💥

Another hugely positive weekend for this talented team, with much more to come in the future🙌🏻

U10 Boys County Cup National Finals Day 1🎾

This weekend the U10 boys are in Southampton to compete in the National County Cup finals💪🏼

Team: Oliver, Henry, Aksel, Ben and Barnaby, captained by Chris Stocker and Barnaby Taylor.

Berkshire were up first. Henry held his nerve at no.1, winning 4-3, 4-3🤩 Oliver and Aksel also got wins on the board👏🏻 3-1 Norfolk after singles.
Henry & Aksel secured a solid W🤝 Barnaby came into the lineup, partnering Oliver, the duo dropping just 3 games on their way to victory. Norfolk 5-1 winners🙌🏻 A great start to the weekend🥳

A strong Middlesex team awaited the boys in the afternoon. The boys showed great tenacity in the singles, Oliver winning an epic 10-8 in the third set breaker🙌🏻 Ben narrowly losing out in match tiebreak. 3-1 Middlesex after singles. It was a similar story in doubles, some great play from the boys, but unfortunately couldn’t quite get over the line. Middlesex winning 5-1.

Another big day tomorrow with the boys facing Surrey and Somerset👊🏻

Maddie Wins In Slovakia🏆

Congrats to Maddie Brooks and partner Irina Bara for winning the 75k doubles title in Kosice, Slovakia🥇

Brooks & Bara defeated Kubka & Mikulskyte 7-5, 6-2 in the final👏🏻

U10s Girls County Cup🎾

Our girls team were on home soil at Easton for county cup💪🏼

The team of Anastasia, Esmee, Ionna, Emily and Eva faced Middlesex, Suffolk and Bedfordshire over the two days🤝

Day one started with a match up vs Middlesex. The girls showed great fight across the courts, Esmee taking her singles to a third set tiebreak👏🏻 Middlesex, however, showed their quality to win the tie.

Local rivals Suffolk were up next. Once again the girls gave their all, Esmee losing out 10-12 in an epic third set tiebreak in her singles. Suffolk winning the tie.

On Sunday the girls faced Bedfordshire in a straight shootout for 3rd/4th place.

Emily got the team off to a flyer, losing just one game at No.4🔥Esmee then got a victory at No.2👏🏻
Meanwhile, Anastasia and Ioanna were in third set battles on their courts, Anastasia narrowly losing out 11-13, but Ioanna managed to get over the line to win 10-7 at No.1🙌🏻 3-1 Norfolk after singles✨

Needing just one win out of the two doubles matches, Emily & Esmee teamed up at No.2, securing a comfortable straight sets W, to clinch the win for Norfolk🥳 Eva & Ioanna then teamed up to add the finishing touches to a great day for the girls, a 5-1 victory💥

The girls competed well vs tough opposition, especially in conditions they are not used to on the clay at Easton👏🏻

A big well done to our U10s boys team of: Henry, Ben, Aksel, Oliver and Barnaby, with Captain Barnaby Taylor for winning South Area Group B, and therefore, qualifying for the South Area Finals to be held in Southampton on 6th & 7th June🥳🤩

The boys did not lose a single match as they faced Essex, Suffolk and Bedfordshire🔥
