With the season over. We are very sad to see 2 people who have supported, assisted and helped grow the Valkyries take a step away.
Kelly has help out following being a Valkyrie player herself. Whether that be cooking after match bait or the tireless organisation of fixtures to ensure the Valkyries have matches to play. The work Kelly has done to keep the team smooth sailing is never ending and we couldn’t have done it without her.
Daz has been a coach and volunteer for many seasons, helping the girls in training and pre match warm ups. Daz was an integral part of the coaching team and we thank him for everything he’s done for the improvement of the team.
The two now have a grandchild on the way and we’re sure they’ll be kept plenty busy! So time so enjoy every moment!! We will miss you. Thank you for everything - love, The Valkyries 💙💜

Our last award 🏆
Players Player, this award is voted by the Valkyries of who they thought shone this season. This went to Tamsin.
Incredible player, incredible person. There is nothing she won’t do for her team both on and off the pitch. And so it is only right to take home this award. Thank you from all the Valkyries for everything you do 💜💙

The next award
You have voted! And have awarded Tamsin and Emmy with Supporters player of the season!
From the sidelines supporters can watch Tamsin smash it up on the pitch. From her breaks, her big hits and incredible tackles, And Emmy can be seen making some try saving tackles and breaking to the white line, we understand why they have both stood out to the spectators. Both incredible players and we’re glad you think so too.
Well done Emmy and Tam, and thank you for voting💜💙

The next award 🏆
Coaches Player was a hard choice this year. And so it fell to 2 players.
Our Co-Captains Emmy Holloway and Tamsin Thompson.
These girls have certainly led the way this season. Attending every possible training session, showing up for the team and guiding the Valkyries to victories. The girls never let up as captains. And as players, they’re a force to be reckoned with. With Tam leading the Pack and Emmy organising the backs they really do keep us right and this is something the Coaches have recognised this season especially. Well done lasses 💜💙

The next award 🏆
Valkyrie of the Year was awarded to Bailey!
Bailey has been an absolute standout for the team this season. From capturing the action on the pitch for our social media channels to curating the perfect team outings, she has been an incredible force for the club. Whether she’s editing high-energy clips for our women’s and men’s profile shots or organizing our most memorable nights out, her hard work and creativity haven’t gone unnoticed.
We couldn’t do it without you, Bailey. Cheers to you! 💜💙

It is with great sadness we wave goodbye to our Lovely Dawn.
Moving on from the club, to new ventures in life, we are so sad to see her go, but we remember everything she has done for the Valkyries and the club. So much goes on behind the scenes to keep a rugby club going and Dawn has certainly played a huge part in this and we honestly can’t thank her enough for all the hard work, love and effort she has put in and especially for us lasses.
Good luck in whatever and wherever life takes you. And we hope to see you at some socials. Once a Valkyrie, always a Valkyrie.
All our love - The Valkyries, The coaches, The Volunteers and The supporters. 💙💜

The next award 🏆
Following on for points, it’s only right we recognise Try’s and Tamsin Thompson made a fair few of these.
Ending the season on 15 League Try’s, Tam definitely earned this trophy smashing over the white line and not taking no for an answer. Our Co-Captain is a determined player and her strength is incredible, and something we’re definitely glad to not be on the receiving end of. The most memorable try being in the final minutes of a 80-0 games and she smashed a ball into the Try box and secured some points on the board, it just shows the pure love and dedication to the team. Well done Tam, we expect the same next season 😉💙💜

The next award 🏆
Moving onto the seniors, the first trophy was awarded to Liv Wright.
Liv our 13, is our conversion kicker. And she doesn’t disappoint. Between kicking over the posts and placing over the white line (even converting her own try’s, which is pretty cool) Liv has secured herself 106 points this season. An incredible achievement. Being the first Valkyries in the history of the team to break over 100 points, and even more impressive that this only falls over a small amount of games for the lasses. Well done Liv 💙💜

The next award 🏆
Under 18s players player trophy was awarded to Niamh.
Turning 17 this year Niamh was now ready to debut for the Valkyries, and she didn’t disappoint. She can sometimes be shy and timid, but that all could be mistaken on the pitch. She throws her self into every tackle and has showed so much strength and power in the games. She has come on amazingly, and has been such a great addition to the team. So it’s only right she has been voted for by both the Under 18 and senior Valkyries players. And we can’t wait to see what the next season brings for her. 💙💜
