The quiet.
The gentle hum as people arrive, each carrying the stories, emotions, and energy of their day.
Some come early to simply lie down, breathe, and allow themselves to be held for a few precious moments in a peaceful sanctuary that asks nothing of them. 🤍
Others rush straight from work, arriving just in time, knowing they’ll leave feeling completely different than when they walked through the door.
It’s in these moments that we’re reminded this space is about so much more than movement. It’s a place to pause. To exhale. To reconnect. To come home to yourself.

When the Heat & Storms Changes Everything… ☀️💛
This past week has reminded us just how much the weather shapes our days. Sunshine brings smiles, beach trips and long evenings… but for many independent businesses, a heatwave also brings quieter classes, cancelled appointments and empty spaces.
As a small business owner, I feel incredibly grateful.
Grateful for the amazing teachers at Space to Move | Yoga Studio & Wellness Community who still show up with warmth, care and professionalism, even when class numbers can be smaller and the beach is calling. They don’t just teach movement, they hold space for our community, whatever the weather.
So here’s to everyone who continues to show up: 🫶🏼
To the all yoga teachers, therapists, fitness instructors, café owners, hairdressers, shopkeepers, carers, healthcare workers, social workers and so many others who provide a service for people, come rain or shine, heatwave or storm!

On this International Yoga Day, which coincides with the Summer Solstice… the longest day of the year… we celebrate a practice that brings light, balance, and renewal into our lives.
This year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” highlights the power of yoga to support strength, mobility, resilience, and wellbeing at every stage of life. As more people around the world embrace yoga, its benefits continue to help us move, age, and live well.
Today, we’re especially grateful for our wonderful Space to Move community. Thank you for sharing this journey with us and for creating a space where wellbeing, connection, and growth can flourish.

Qigong (pronounced “chi-gong”) means “energy work” and is often described as meditation in movement. Through slow, flowing movements combined with breathwork, Qigong can help improve balance, co-ordination, strength and energy, while calming the mind and body. Sessions include standing postures, Bagua Dragon exercises, joint-opening movements and ancient Qigong sequences — all adaptable for different abilities, including seated practice.
Somatics uses slow, mindful movement to help release tension held in the body. By gently contracting and relaxing muscles, the nervous system learns to let go of habitual patterns of stress and strain, creating lasting change. These classes can support greater ease of movement, body awareness and relief from physical tension and pain.
Kath Revell, aka Ninja Granny, has over 30 years’ experience teaching Tai Chi and Qigong and is a member of the Tai Chi Union of GB.
