Did you know that the physical part of Yoga that we are familiar with in the West is only 1 of the 8 limbs of Yoga?

We always try to keep classes fun and welcoming for all but we also love a bit of Yoga Philosophy. Once in a while may drop a nougat or 2 into class 😜

🪑SPOTLIGHT: Chair Pose (Utkatasana)

Chair Pose is one of those sneaky poses… it looks simple, but wow, it works your whole body! 💪

This standing posture builds strength, focus, and stamina from the ground up.
It wakes up the legs, lights up the core, and invites you to breathe steadily even when your thighs are having words with you 😅

What it supports:

Building heat and strength in the body
Anchoring into the legs and feet
Learning to stay calm and focused while holding intensity

This pose is a little reminder that you can do difficult thingsand smile while doing them.

Modify it. Adjust it. Rest when you need.

But know that every time you rise into Chair Pose, you’re building something powerful

We provide a safe space for you to ‘have a go’ if you want. Our priority is your comfort, safety and feeling part of our community.
When we say we offer Yoga for people who think they can’t do Yoga - we really mean it 🤗

🧘 Just a reminder to breathe 💗

Nothing fancy.
Nothing to fix.
Just a gentle pause.

If your shoulders are creeping up towards your ears,
if your head is a bit busy,
or if your day feels loud…

Take one slow breath in.
And a long breath out.

Yoga isn’t always about moving.
Sometimes it’s about stopping long enough to notice your breath again.

You’re doing okay.
Keep breathing 💚
