Stunning conditions today for the DSADS first dive of the student planned dives. What's not to like.

Today the JSAT Diving Community welcomed another 3 Assistant Openwater Diving Instructors to its ranks. 2 x Army and 1 x RAF. without these individuals growing our activity is stiffled. Well done for putting yourself forward to take on the responsibilities and give back to the system that helped your development. We have another CIE in September and there are also 2 scheduled to run at the Centre in Dhekelia. Check out the AATG ONLINE BOOKING SERVICE for booking details.

OWI phase now well underway. Hottest day of the year always great to be in a drysuit for multiple dives. Hydration and heat awareness being closely monitored. Students found a nice bit in fact only bit of shade.

Today we started Day 1 of our combined instructor event. Unfortunately we only have 2 students from the original 6 booked on. On a positive though, they are keen as mustard and are having fun. They will be joined by additional students for the Openwater course and examinations later in the week. Fingers crossed the JSAT Community will gain at least 4 new Assistant Diving Instructors and 3 new Assistant Openwater Instructors. Not often you get a six lane 25m pool to yourself.

Interest in the Instructor post at JSSADC is good with several applications already started. The closing date is 19th June so plenty of time to throw your hat in the ring if you fancy a rewarding job delivering diver training at some of the South West's best dive sites.

Let's hope this weather blows through before Tuesday to enable the SADS assessment candidates the chance to experience some of the fine diving on offer outside of the Sound. If not we still have great challenging and beautiful sites to dive within the confines of the Sound. Torpoint ferry a bit bouncy this morning!
