💛✨Exciting News at Flying Start Families CIC✨💛

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Yvonne Sutcliffe has joined Flying Start Families CIC as a Director.

As we continue building a community that supports families from pregnancy and the early years through to grandparents and beyond, we are incredibly grateful to welcome someone with such a wealth of experience, knowledge and passion.

Family is at the heart of everything Yvonne does. As a proud mother of three and grandmother of ten, she understands first-hand the joys, challenges and ever-changing needs of family life across the generations.

Yvonne has dedicated an incredible 35 years to working in Early Years, undertaking a wide variety of roles throughout her career and supporting countless children and families along the way. She is also a qualified Early Years SENCO, bringing valuable expertise and insight that will help shape the work we do within our community.

Alongside her Early Years experience, Yvonne is also a qualified NLP Practitioner (Neuro Linguistic Programming). This additional qualification reflects her passion for understanding people, communication, personal development and wellbeing, placing her in a fantastic position to support not only children, but family members of all ages.

One of the things we love most about Yvonne is her genuine passion for supporting families as a whole. Her values align perfectly with our vision of helping families build strong foundations for lifelong health, wellbeing and happiness.

Yvonne's combination of professional expertise, life experience and passion for supporting others makes her an invaluable addition to our growing team, and we are incredibly excited about the experience, knowledge and ideas she will bring to Flying Start Families.

When Yvonne is not busy supporting children and families, you will often find her spending quality time with her own family or enjoying a solo adventure, recognising the importance of taking time to recharge and prioritise wellbeing.

We are excited about this next chapter and can't wait to share what we will be building together for families across our community.

💛 A Quiet Moment in a Busy Space... 💛

One of my favourite things to see during our Little Superhero sessions is a child finding a quiet moment with our very own Little Superhero dolls.

Whilst the room is full of movement, laughter and excitement, they often sit and study the doll's face, looking closely at its expression, talking to it and exploring feelings in their own way.

In fact, these moments inspired our Little Superhero feelings book and helped shape what has now become our Little Superhero Emotional Wellbeing Toolkit — supporting children to recognise emotions, develop emotional literacy, build positive relationships and express themselves with confidence.

It's one of the reasons so many nurseries, schools, childminders and families are choosing our books, dolls and story sacks to support children's wellbeing.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our groups today. It was lovely to see so many children enjoying the sessions together.

As we continue to grow, I will be keeping a close eye on numbers. Our mission has always been to support the community, but it is equally important that we maintain a high-quality experience for the children and families who attend.

As an early years professional, quality will always come before quantity.

Numbers naturally fluctuate from week to week, but sessions are becoming increasingly popular, so if you know you are planning to attend, I would recommend booking in advance to secure your place.

Please also let us know if you are not going to make it, so we can offer your place to another child.
