Repaired. Restyled. Remarkable. 🧵✨
What if we stopped seeing worn, damaged or tired clothes as things to throw away — and started seeing them as an opportunity to get creative?
As part of Sustainable Fashion Week, The Good Stuff is teaming up with Julie the Stitch for a relaxed, hands-on workshop exploring visible mending, garment repair and garment restyle.
Bring along a garment that needs some love — a hole, a tear, a loose seam or simply something you’d like to give a new lease of life — and spend two hours learning practical repair techniques and creative ways to transform the clothes you already own.
Julie’s sewing workshop is fully equipped, with materials, fabrics, threads and sewing supplies provided. You just need to bring your garment and your creativity!
📅 Friday 2 October
⏰ 2–4pm
📍 Julie’s Sewing Workshop, Pentre Town Hall
Llewellyn Street, Pentre, CF41 7XW
A creative afternoon of repair • reuse • restyle • reconnect— and a little reminder that our clothes don’t have to be perfect to be loved. 💚
Spaces are limited — booking is essential.

👣 Wednesday Wandering 👣
How lovely was it to get out in the sunshine (but not blistering heat!) today?!
We met at Dyffryn Gardens - National Trust and took a little tour of the local ancient burial chambers - Tinkinswood and St Lythans, led by the fantastic Hywel Fetherston
A nifty three miles with plenty of sights and lovely chats 💕
Next week we’re heading to Cosmeston Lakes for our Wednesday Wander, meeting there at 10am.
All welcome 🐾, drop us a message with any queries.
‼️ Also, for anyone interested in joining us for the Penrhys Pilgrimage on 10/11th October, there are VERY limited spaces remaining, so book quick before they’re gone! ‼️

A Little Look Back & What’s On This Week 💚
A few more little glimpses of the Good Stuff from last week that we didn’t get chance to share 💚
There’s always lots happening behind the scenes — people getting creative, making and remaking, learning new skills, getting outdoors, and simply spending time together. These are just a few moments from last week that deserved a little space on the page.
And now we’re looking ahead to another week of Good Stuff!
Our Week 3 What’s On is below, with plenty of opportunities to get creative, get outdoors, connect with others and try something a little different.
And don’t forget that this Wednesday, the Wednesday Wanderers are heading to Duffryn Gardens for their weekly walk. A chance to get out, enjoy the beautiful gardens and surrounding landscape, and have a good wander with good company.
Whatever you fancy this week, there’s hopefully something here for you. 💚
Take a look at the full What’s On below and come along and join us.
