Looking back at the week… 🍂✨

It’s been another lovely week of making, moving and connecting across The Good Stuff.

🎄 Christmas crafting has begun! Over at Re-Making It, the festive makes are starting to appear, with plenty of stitching and creativity underway.

🧵 At our Eco-Creative Sewing Group at The Community Sharing Shop, Alison has been getting started on some beautiful lettering for her cushion — we can’t wait to see it finished!

🥾 We’ve also enjoyed getting out and about with our walking groups. Ynys Y Cwtsh enjoyed a lovely local walk, while our Wednesday Wanderers took on the beautiful Salmon Leaps Walk from Dinas Powys.

From stitching and upcycling to getting outside and enjoying our local landscape, it’s been a week full of The Good Stuff. 💚

🌿 A lovely day at Down To Zero 🌿

Today we welcomed members of the RCT Neighbourhood Network, along with groups we’ve met through those meetings, Llantrisant Community Hub, Bosom Pals and Pontyclun 50+ Forum — for a special open day at our outdoor site at Down To Zero.

And what a beautiful autumn day to do it! ☀️🍂

We started around the firepit with a cuppa and a chat before heading off on a tour of the site. We explored the growing beds and polytunnels, talked about the opportunities available across the wider Down To Zero site and discovered the Llysh Bocs.

Then it was back to The Good Stuff for a little creativity, with crafts, conversation and our rather delicious sweet and savoury s’mores around the fire! 🔥

It was wonderful to share the space, meet new people and show just some of what’s happening at Down To Zero and The Good Stuff.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along — we hope this is the beginning of many more visits, collaborations and opportunities to connect, create and enjoy the good stuff together. 💚

Based on our sell-out Women in the Wild evenings, Nature Connections is open to everyone ~ men & women over the age of 14 ~ and we invite you to take a step back, relax, connect with nature & relax into a sound bath.

Two days. Two wonderful venues. Lots of sewing, creativity and clothes getting a second chance. 🧵💚

As part of Sustainable Fashion Week, I've been helping people breathe new life into things that might otherwise have been thrown away.

From a treasured holey hand-me-down cardigan, to a dog-chewed tote bag handle, to simple alterations — it's been brilliant seeing these items go from unwearable or unusable to renewed and ready to be loved again.♻️

And I've met some wonderful creatives along the way, which gives me real hope for the future of sustainable and circular fashion. 🌿

A huge thank you to Julie The Stitch for hosting us in her treasure-trove sewing studio at Pentre Town Hall, and to Gail at Llantrisant Hub for welcoming us to the Pre-Loved Sale today. 💚
