Eating more plant-based doesn’t need to be complicated.

In fact, the simpler it is, the more likely you’ll stick to it.

Keep the meal.

Change the protein. 🌱

This wasn’t taken as a progress photo.

It’s actually a screenshot from a video. My stomach is pressed against the kitchen worktop, it’s completely unposed and honestly not particularly flattering.

But this is real.

It’s probably the most honest representation I have of where I was at that point in time.

I’ve never had terrible body image, but like most people, I go through seasons. This season happened to be one where I was carrying a bit more body fat, living in oversized jumpers and generally not feeling particularly confident in myself.

What this photo doesn’t show is that I’d already broken my hand. Training was disrupted, I was in a lot of pain and it took around 10 weeks to get answers.

When January rolled around, I made a conscious decision not to start a fat loss phase.

January is one of the busiest periods of my year and I knew trying to build my business whilst simultaneously dieting, training hard and doing all the things was a recipe for disaster.

So I waited.

Around February, I quietly got to work.

No announcement.

No challenge.

Just a decision.

And if I’m being completely honest, I wasn’t even sure I’d follow through. I didn’t take progress photos because I wasn’t convinced I’d stick to it long enough to need them.

Initially, I wanted to lose a few kilos and feel a bit leaner.

But somewhere along the way it became about far more than that.

The biggest change isn’t what I weigh.

It’s how I show up.

More confidence in my own ability.

More confidence in my body.

The thing is, I didn’t NEED to lose weight.

I didn’t hate my body.

But I knew I wasn’t where I wanted to be.

I knew I felt better when I was stronger, fitter and more consistent.

And that’s an important distinction.

Sometimes change doesn’t come from hating where you are.

Sometimes it comes from knowing you’re capable of more. ❤️

I’ve got a busy week ahead with consultations for June.

If you’re reading this and recognising a bit of yourself in my story—not unhappy, but knowing you’re capable of more—I’d love to help.

A Long weekend to unwind …

So good to slow down from time to time and very much needed.

Feeling ready for the week ahead after some R&R and plenty of good food (from my mums fridge 😋)

Half the year is gone.

And if you’re honest, you’ve probably had the same goal since January.

Lose some body fat.
Feel more confident.
Get stronger.
Get back into a routine.
Feel comfortable in your clothes again.

The problem isn’t that you don’t know what to do.

Most people already know they should move more, eat more protein, train consistently and stop relying on motivation.

The problem is following through when life gets busy.

Work gets hectic.
Weekends happen.
Plans change.
Motivation disappears.

Then suddenly it’s June and you’re promising yourself you’ll start again on Monday.

The clients who get results aren’t the ones who are motivated all the time.

They’re the ones who have structure.

A plan.
Accountability.
And a clear direction when life inevitably gets in the way.

That’s exactly what coaching is designed to give you.

2 coaching spaces are open for June.

If you’re ready to stop restarting and finally build momentum, DM “JUNE”.

The best transformations aren’t just smaller.

They’re stronger too. 💪

The scales are one thing.

But when you start seeing your progress like this, it becomes about so much more than “I want to lose 5kg.”

The other day I spotted Mia in the gym working through her online programme and her back looked so strong that I actually stopped and filmed it to show her.

Because let’s be honest… you hardly ever get to see your own back unless someone takes a photo or video of it. 🤣

This is why I’m always encouraging clients to focus on building muscle, not just losing weight.

Muscle is what creates that “toned” look so many people are chasing.

It also supports fat loss because muscle tissue is metabolically active, meaning the more muscle you have, the more calories your body burns simply keeping that muscle alive and functioning.

But the really cool part isn’t the metabolism boost.

It’s what happens to you as a person.

You start doing things you never thought you could do.

You lift heavier.

You get fitter.

You become more capable.

You walk into the gym with confidence instead of anxiety.

You trust yourself more.

You stop seeing yourself as someone who “can’t” and start proving to yourself that you can, and that carries over into everything else you do.

You walk with more confidence.

You feel more independent.

That’s why strength training is about so much more than aesthetics.

It’s about building a stronger body and a stronger version of yourself.

Drop Mia a 👏🏼 below.

She’s worked incredibly hard for this.
