Today we would like to share this amazing painting of Master Steve that Mario the father of one of our students did a while back. He is also a qualified and very reliable plumber and we are happy to consider him a friend. Also Master Steve and student Bobby Cox demonstrating swords against pole, using 3 of the 8 cuts of the Wing Chun butterfly knives. Bobby showed excellent technique of entry against a pole and everyone enjoyed the demonstration. Well done Bobby 👊

We were very honoured to be invited by Allen Tang from the Chinese Association of Southampton to participate in the 2026 Lantern Festival and Fire Horse celebrations on Saturday 28th February at West Quay.
Here are a few shots of the day.
It was a spectacular event which we were very proud to be part of.
Thanks to Allen for inviting us, student Bobby Cox, Master Rob Devonshire who provided the running commentary, Master Shaun Thomson for doing an amazing job of designing our leaflets for the day, students Martin and Jake who also attended, Skye for her footage contributions, and everyone else who supported us.

Congratulations to Yvonne for passing her First Grade and being presented with her certificate by Master Steve. This demonstrates how Wing Chun is the ideal system for women, as it was actually devised by a woman, Shaolin nun Ng Mui. Well done Yvonne on all your hard work and dedication.
