Progress report, week 6. Bens done well this week with his running, getting a new PB in both his 5km and Marathon distances! π¦ΈββοΈπββοΈ
This weeks progress report for you all xx
So on Friday we did our longest walk yet 21.73 Miles in total walking the Itchen Way from Riverside Park, Southampton to Wi******er.
I have to say we thought the main issue we would face would be the distance but we really underestimated the terrain!
The first 4 miles were by far the hardest due to the 'path' being so overgrown. We were fighting 6ft stinging nettles! Contending with mud patches, balancing over streams on branches- trying to keep our feet dry and at one point crawling under a fallen tree π³ π That really took it out of us and we opted for a partial road route coming back.
It was a lovely day albeit rather challenging! The route really was beautiful in the main.
We want to thank everyone that has sponsored us so far! It means the world and it is definitely keeping us moving forward with the challenge!
Walk by walk... or run by run ....Yeah Ben has just entered me into an 8 mile run π³ Brave man! ....So please keep up the support as I can't run for toffee! π€£ xx
So here are our latest results. Falling off my bike this week hasn't helped π€¦ββοΈ but I am hopeful to be back on track for our big 24 mile walk on Friday. Fingers crossed for good weather for it!
Week 2 results in 141.98 Miles walked / run so far! π€©
Well done Benners for completing the White Star Running Crafty Fox Half Marathon at the weekend. Check out the ice cream at the finish!! Xx ππ π₯΅π¦
Week one results in! 2.7% might not sound a lot but we are on our way xx π
So these are some pics from my walk last Saturday. 10.74 Miles round Lower Test Nature Reserve xx π£π¦π¦’π¦
Why 2622 miles? .....
This is the predicted distance that Ziggy will need to do just for his ROUTINE appointments over the next 9 months (up to his 5th birthday).
This was also the monthly mileage they were doing for Ziggy's dialysis before his Kidney Transplant.
