We are Just playing with some video editing while lacing a *Halo MXR hub* to a *Halo T2 24” rim* 🎥🛠️

Hand-built wheels beat machine-built, every time.
You get perfect tension, better durability, and a wheel that actually holds up when you send it. No shortcuts, no sloppy tensioning — just time and attention.

Sure, you _can_ build it yourself for the fun of it.
But if you want it dialed, true, and built to last? That’s what I do at *DC Cycles*.

I’m Denham. This is what I do all day.
Want a wheel that won’t let you down? DM me.

*Question for you:* What’s the worst wheel build you’ve ever ridden on? 👇
Let’s hear the horror stories.

Been quiet on posting the wheel building front lately. So expect to start getting loads pop up of the ones I have taken photos off over the last few weeks.

Kicking off with this set I started building in the van what waiting for one of the little love goblins to finish beavers.

Halo T2 24" laced to the classic ICE hacker X 15mm / 10mm disc rear hub and the solid ICE tank 20mm front hub.

Laced with our custom cut Spokes and 16mm brass ni***es to know these wheels are going to stay true and straight for TIME!!

There is a reason why so many people have put there trust in our builds over the years and why we build so many wheels.

🚲 Your bike is your responsibility — and that includes its brakes.

Did you know? Under UK law, every cyclist must have fully efficient front and rear brakes that work properly when needed. If you crash into a car because you can’t stop — due to worn brake pads, lack of servicing, or poor upkeep — liability can fall directly and personally on you.

⚖️ How negligence applies here

When you ride, you owe a duty of care to everyone else on the road — including drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.

If:
✅ You failed to maintain your bike
✅ Brakes were worn out or ineffective
✅ This meant you couldn’t stop in time
✅ And this directly caused the collision

…then you have breached that duty of care — and that counts as negligence.

A claim could be brought against you to recover:
• Vehicle repair costs
• Medical expenses
• Loss of earnings
• Other financial losses

Even though cyclists don’t need compulsory insurance, the injured party or their insurer can still pursue you personally for compensation — and this can affect your finances long-term.

✅ The simple fix

🔧 Check brake pads regularly — replace them before they wear too thin
🔧 Test stopping power before every ride
🔧 Keep receipts for servicing and parts
🔧 Consider cyclist liability insurance for peace of mind

Good maintenance isn’t just about safety — it’s also your legal protection.

Ever wondered why that 50-hour fork service is SUCH a big deal? 🤔🤫

Let me break it down simply — this is the secret to a fork that rides like a dream!

✅ Stops damage before it starts 🛑🪨
Every ride pushes dust & dirt past the seals. Leave it too long and old oil turns into GRIT — basically sandpaper grinding inside your fork 😱 Clean it at 50 hours and you save those expensive parts from permanent wear!

✅ Rides like NEW again… back to BUTTER! 🧈✨
Old oil gets sticky, harsh and sluggish. Fresh oil restores that silky smooth action, perfect small-bump compliance and grip — you’ll notice the difference instantly! It feels brand new again 😍

✅ Saves you serious £££ 💸
Cheap service now = NO huge repair or replacement bills later 📉 It’s literally cheap insurance for your suspension!

✅ Lasts way longer 💪
Look after it, and it’ll look after you. Properly maintained forks last 2–3x longer, giving you years of great rides ahead.

Don’t skip this one — it’s the best thing you can do for your ride quality AND your bank balance 😉

Who’s guilty of leaving it too late? 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️
Or who’s already booked theirs? 👇

Do you even know bro?

When was the last time you checked how thin your rotor has gotten! An example is this Shimano RT66 down to the minimum 1.5mm wear marker.

"But the other shop said it looked fine bruv, they just can't seem to get the brake to feel nice"

Well that's fine. Let me just do my thing and get the brake to feel amazing for you. The calipers really shows the quality of the tools making skills.

Well the video has been out for a little while but ive been trying to figure out how to describe this build.

This has to be a once in a life time location for a build. On the back of an A400M part of the Air Mobility Force at RAF Brize Norton.

A dream and plan for in the making. Helping him spec out this build and lots of custom bits dripping on this build. Which we will bring to you at a later date.

I would like to take a minute to thank everyone who made this possible and for the experience of being on a live RAF base
